Scammers use cheap bots to inflate site flipping prices.
More advanced bots can really make a difference though.

Yes in earnings because there are ad networks who uses cpm ads but it does not really benefit you in your SEO.

Actually, somebody here on the forum made a research a while ago and these bots are apparently fantastic for neg SEO.
From my experience though, I have never seen any positive movement. If you really want to try it though, try Panda Bot or something similar. It should still be around.

Highly doubtful that they would provide any positive SEO benefits. Though I have not tested it and to be 100% on anything in this game you let the results speak.
Some people drive up site traffic to sell it, some try to scam the traffic networks or other avenues, etc. They tend to take advantage of the new guys who don't know what they are doing. You'll find a lot on the likes of Fiverr and such.
As far as any reputable traffic networks though -- they'll catch you and not pay out on bot traffic and ultimately close your account.

I don't know what do you mean ?Some people use it to mix with real super targeted CPA traffic..If you know what I mean

Like if you were using a site like Mturk or Microworkers to get people to complete Surveys you might wanna mix that traffic with some garbage traffic to level things out a bit to avert suspicion from a snooping Network or AM
