Now I understand that using traffic bots doesn’t really help and can actually harm the site in the long run.
I’ll focus more on getting organic traffic through content, backlinks, and real engagement.
If you have any tips or strategies for growing genuine traffic, please do share.

Bot traffic is trash. Unless you are investing in sophisticated, well coded software, along with some high quality rotating proxies you’re not even gone scratch the surface when it comes to falling under the radar.

From my experience even traffic you purchase delivers a mix of bot traffic, only difference is the sophistication.

It is true that bot traffic may harm your website if the bot is poorly designed. But not only bot there are other factors also resposible when using bot for SEO - like how you configured the bot. Proxies also play important role in deciding the quality of the traffic.

We'd say not just "can hurt", but "will definitely hurt", at least as far as Google rankings are concerned. It used to work 10+ years ago, but not anymore.

It’s called CTR Manipulation. While it can help, 99% of public bots will actually hurt your SEO. Google is smart enough to detect bot patterns, and if they catch you, your site is toast. If you're new, stay away from cheap traffic generators and focus on real organic clicks.
 
Sudden spike in traffic can raise alarm. Using a good quality traffic bot in smart way with proxies can still help.
 
We did quite low 1-4 per day CTR a couple of keywords (exactly 4 KW) we ended up in worse ranking. They were position 7-12 now all of them near 18-22.
It was with a reputable service and quite expensive.
 
Honestly I don't think it's worth it. It can hurt if Google detects bot traffic, and it's not really worth the money even if it does help out a little. Probably better to put your time/money into other strategies.

Honestly, traffic bots are mostly a waste of time. They might make your analytics look nicer, but Google isn't fooled by fake clicks. Bots don't act like real people, and sooner or later those signals get ignored or flagged.
If traffic alone ranked pages, everyone would be buying bots and winning. What actually helps is real users who come in, read, and engage because the content matches what they were looking for. That kind of traffic is slow to build, but it's the only type that really moves the needle long term.
