Does saving help with a post's engagement?

Lately I've been seeing a lot of people in engagement groups asking others to save their pictures too (aside from liking and commenting) because as they state, it helps them with the post engagement.
Anyone knows any theory about this? Have you heard this before?
Any experience with it?
Just any explanation of why that might be positive to a post will be appreciated, we are a few here that are really intrigued.

all i no groups like that get tacken out quicker then ever these days .


what ai couldnt match the ips that made the
likes , comments , images.

to easy for ai to recognise these things .

footprints are made and there all caught

go and get @IGKing pdf and new ig service better then fake crap.
 
what I think is the more an account looks human, the more engagement it can get, it can include saving posts, viewing stories and all the other actions that a human normally does on Instagram, because of modern bots, I thinks its getting harder and harder for instagram to flag accounts as bots are doing all the actions so all they can consider are those actions.
 
No, I meant, people asking other people to save their pictures, not people saving pictures themselves.
 
Like, does the number of times that a post is saved improves anything regarding it exposure?

I wonder where the legend started, because like a lot of people ask for that lately.
 
It definitely does help.
All forms of engagement help push your post to a wider audience. Most people here only know shit about spamming f/uf and botting accounts. If you're actually interested in hitting explore and reaching a big audience, focus on getting all types of engagement, including saves.
With that said, its also the quality of the account saving your post that plays a role. Legit 500k account saving your post vs grandma with 37 followers saving your post = big difference.

what about 1000s of crappy accounts saving the image? Is there any benefit of that?

If the only benefit is from high quality accounts, then this method is only going to work with manual engagement groups, rather than from a bot / service perspective where a user may have access to 100s of their own fake accounts which they could use to mass save an image (when mass liking for example..),

Well since exposure is based on the followers of accounts that engage with your post, chances are that any panel service will do little to none for you since they have 0 active followers.
Manual engagement groups & powerlikes services are pretty much the best way to go about doing this.

But a private network of accounts, that you have built up the followers for is going to help (somewhat) then. Not sure how going to measure the benefit of just follow + like own posts vs follow+like+save own post- I doubt any benefit is going to be that noticeable, but got some tests running now and we shall see

Yeah I can see that it really is engagement of some kind so in some way it must help, I wish I could know to what extent.

I doubt it is a "game changer" more likely "every little bit helps"
