Simply rewriting a competitor’s content isn’t enough. Use it to understand the topic and search intent, and create topic more authentic, useful, and original. This can make the difference, not the rewriting.Just curious if I take content from competitors that are already ranking and rewrite it in my own words, can it actually help with rankings?
Has anyone tried this approach and seen good results?
this is very common practice but just rewriting their article is not enough in many cases. my suggestion would be that u examine what they have written and then provide your own examples, elaboration or some missing infformation. this will give u the advantage of ranking.Just curious if I take content from competitors that are already ranking and rewrite it in my own words, can it actually help with rankings?

i have used competitor pages more as a template rather than for rewrite purposes. competitor pages could tell u which topics to expect from google but just copying that same format in ur own words is not going to help ur page be unique. it would be better to find some pointts they left out.Just curious if I take content from competitors that are already ranking and rewrite it in my own words, can it actually help with rankings?

i have done this before and the gud thing is not the act of rewriting. when you see what other ranking pages were talking about you will be able to figure out what they does not talk about.Just curious if I take content from competitors that are already ranking and rewrite it in my own words, can it actually help with rankings?

Suppose you find the gaps and fill those gaps with some content, it seems that content won't rank for the same keyword as the ranking ones. It may compete for other keywords with a new set of sites.Yes it helps get you in the game but not usually to the top, search engines still favor the source with more depth/authority signals.
Combine top 3-5 ranking articles extract gaps then fill those gaps with something none of them cover that is what actually moves the needle.
