Does Negative SEO Still Work ?

I am just curious because recently i have got so many backlinks (5k+) which are spammed by someone else. I checked these backlinks and found they were created few weeks ago.

N.B: There is no changes of my SERP ans Traffic

I am creating this post here because i search google about negative seo attack and found many seo blogs including neil patel ( https://neilpatel.com/blog/spammers-and-negative-seo/ ) and other who are warning about it and guiding to protect against it.

I have read some post who claims, negative seo is no longer works. I also have seen matt cutt video about Disavow links besides i have found a lot of people offering negative seo service, for example: ( http://negativeseoexpert.com/) I found it on google 1st position

Now i am really Confuse about it. That's why i am writing this post here. Please help me with clear idea if i should worry about it or not.

Btw, I am running an E-commerce site. (already disavowed all spam links after watching Matt Cutt's Video)

I've been hit by negative seo for some of my websites, so yes it works, it takes time to deal with. You just have to disavow the spammed backlinks.

of course it works
in two ways
if you want to do it and expect to be ranked on search engine, forget it
if you want to do it because increase the traffic no matter what source it will be then yes it work and will works forever and brings you traffic anytime
