Does it make sense to use proxies with smtp servers for cold emails?

So, I've spent nearly a week prepping a CAN-SPAM compliant bulk cold email marketing campaign.

I have mail blasting software , proxies and access to external SMTP servers. I've been testing the smtp server by sending emails to my accounts and they get delivered pretty swiftly.

However, for privacy purposes i'm trying to figure out if it makes sense to add proxies and possible proxy rotation to my settings. If I already have an smtp server with a dedicated IP is that not enough to cover my true IP address? Would the proxies spoof the smtp server when sending the emails?

you cannot mask SMTP with proxies they are either built on shared ip or dedicated.

If you use several smtp's from the same provider it's useful to operate with proxies so they don't figure out you are using several smtps from them. Useful if you plan to use free plans (maigun one is good).
Also some registrars limit theur sendings to a certain amount per hour per IP.

What software and SMTP vendors are you using?

I know of a software that rotates SMTP providers so that you can use multiple free accounts and keep rotating through once you've hit your daily/monthly limits. I have not use them so I'd like your opinion: https://h-educate.com/super-email-sender/

If you are can-spam compliant no need for proxies. But a tool like atomic with proxy rotation might be the solution you are looking for.

Hey Xcodes, I bought a VPS with ubuntu 22.04 as my OS at Hostinger, Hawk Host, HostWinds, Inmotion, and Interserver. Most if not all were delivered to me with port 25 closed.

In your experience, can you tell me if you see the same obstacle with VPS with Windows OS in general, or do you see Windows RDP typically with port 25 open?

Most VPS providers block port 25 and most ports associated with sending emails due to abuse from spammers. Most providers will open this port if asked in a support ticket however.

If you are sending a small number of emails and have a good sender reputation, using proxies may not be necessary.
