Does Instagram engagement group works for long term?

I have a Personal business page with 3k followers. Thinking of using engagement groups.
Is it ok to use them?
Will my engagement drop if I stop using them?

No your engagement will not drop unless you have spammy activity on your account
Being in a few engagement groups with accounts in your same niche and same amount of followers will benefit you

Though do note that when on a later date you decide not to use those engagement groups then your engagement will revert back to normal.

I don't think you can do much in that regard. but it will be proportional to no. of followers you have each time. so you could just use it as a tool to increase your followers and avg engagement for the long run.

Engagement groups were a big deal back in 2017. I don't think they're effective anymore.

As people stated before, the engagement boost you'll see ins't organic and when you stop using them, you'll experience a crash.
