Hey guys, I'm building links for a business I am working with and there are almost no blogs or posts in french where I can do niche edits or guest posts. I asked Chat GPT to give me a list of english niche sites and posts and was wondering if Google didn't like it if the anchor is in another language?

Thanks for the help, I'm new in the community!!

They work, even if the majority of the links come from foreign websites,
The thing is, it won't make a natural link profile, pretty much as having most of the links from niche-irrelevant websites,

Try to get both, English links to pass most of the authority & language/niche-specific links for diversity,
You can use forum, parasite, comment, etc... types of links for this, as long as they're coming from decent non-spammy websites with low OBLs

Using English backlinks with French anchors can work if the content and sites are niche-relevant and high-quality. However, prioritize French-language links where possible, as they’re more impactful for a French-speaking audience.

Totally get it. Thanks for the insight

Hi! If the anchor text is in a different language, it shouldn't significantly impact SEO as long as it fits the context. You can also use anchor text with keywords in multiple languages, which can be helpful for international SEO! Good luck!

That's true, but it's important to balance them with local or relevant sources to create a more natural backlink profile.

No, Google doesn't mind if your backlinks are in another language as long as they are relevant and high-quality.

Formatting texts like this is very distracting.

Like others have opined, it'll work and pass link juice if the links are quality and powerful links. What matters mostly is the niche and authority of the site.

It is effective. But the article should be relevant to the keywords and the anchor must be naturally incorporated. Avoid solely focusing on adding links with foreign anchors and it is not recommended.

There are plenty of French websites! Are you using automated tools with junk content?

It definitely works when the links come from relevant, authoritative sites. Diversification is always important when it comes to building links. However, don't overdo it; you should balance both types of links to make the profile appear natural.
