I wanna start a blog even if I am a noob in blogging.
Does it still work?
My plan is .top domain $1 hostkoala hosting $5 per year and semrush group buy $2.
Do keyword research and use chatgpt for content, But try to modify it so it’s Unique and not 100% ai.

Will it work?
Or just a waste of time…
$10 investment and my time

Do you have any tips on how to suceed at this?

Also how do I go about getting backlinks for free or super Cheap

Why don't you want to buy a proper domain and a proper hosting?

I mean investing $100 for a blog on a yearly basis isn't a huge investment unless you are very much risk averse like I was in my initial days of IM.
 
It will work, as long as you are willing to invest the time and effort
 
It's certainly tougher, but it still works. However, I personally wouldn't attempt it now on a brand new domain, opting only for caught/expired.

Actually, you're wrong. Spend some time in the Journeys threads on this forum.

Not my strategy, but it works.
 
AI just can help you create content, not all content. AI can create a good content outline, but not specialized in details.
Used Domains with AS or Weight will be better for page rank in google.
Help with different VPS, Antidetect Browsers, Proxies, I had started hundreds of sites 18 months ago, which all just worked for short-term(less than 2 months) traffic when thousands of articles all created by AI, penalized by Google, and traffic changed to 0 at the end.

So keep in mind that: quality is the corn point.

Now you also need to update and add the content with new idea though your content are in high quality already and get a good rank.

Nowadays you need to go deep on the niche selection. You need to pick an underserved niche and try to find a unique way to monetize it.

Going with semrush and just applying some filters is what everybody is doing. Also it's a group buy, so they can see your history. If you find a good query they'll use it too. You're better off making your own topical map directly from google.

I mean, this how many others are doing it too. If the process is similar, the results are similar too. So google will decide a forum page is more rank worthy than the hundreds of bloggers who wrote about the same query with chatgpt.

Try to differentiate (by a lot) while satisfying the search intent.
 
With your approach, no it doesn't work in 2024.
Consider it a serious business, invest your time and money with a long term view, then maybe it will work.
 
If you have a reliable provider, a .top domain and affordable hosting is a good start.
 
Success need patience, the investment is quite okay.

- doing keyword research expertise comes with time.
-niche Identification is most required thing before starting.
-.com domain is prefarred to purchase.
-Generating Ai content is not all or not doing editing make to rank in serp, need to know about SEO.

invest of $10 is good! but purchasing .com domain is more better.

You will post the blog on the website. The blog page url of that website must be in text format.
You can use keywords that are used in practical sense. And can post your blogs. Hope you get success soon.

Domain and hosting can take in your budget no problem. But keep in mind that your server must be secure
