Does AdSense still require each site be approved?

I was using AdSense for years where once you had an account approved with an initial site, you could create and display ads on any other website you owned instantly without having to submit and wait for approval. They changed this 2-3 years ago requiring each website be submitted and approved before allowing ads. I have not been active with AdSense the last year and curious if the process has changed.

Yes, they do. You have to submit a site to them first - if they approves only then you'll be able to show ads.
