I was just curious about others in the community.

I have been building affiliate sites for about 3 years now and no one really knows what I do. It's been kind of lonely, BHW is the only thing keeping me sane. They all think I'm just an average college student that is busy with his studying but in reality, I'm working my tail off to build a strong passive income online.

I've tried to talk to my friends about it but they seem uninterested and change the subject.

Do your Friends/Family know that you work online?

I used to for many years earn money from sports betting, friends used to complain as I had no job / worked from home and used to laugh at them in rush hour traffic jams, out in the rain and snow etc.

A lot of people used to see a 'proper' job as leaving the house and going to a place of work.
 
All my friends work at 5-8k$/m jobs and absolutely not interested in internet income
 
My wife of course and my best friend.

I don't feel the need for questions like:
"Oh, what do you do then online?" And "Can you teach me?"

They all work in finances, all in different countries : Belgium, Canada and USA. All immigrated from my country
 
i think its better to help people especially my best friends i tell them all i know about IM , one information can change someone mindset
 
Yes they do but they just do not understand how it can be done.
 
Nobody understand what I do. Even my friends/family who rely on getting leads online to get business.
 
Keep if secret and then when you get the big bucks you show what you made

I agree people are always good at bitching. Don't think that's a reason not to have friends though.
 
I don't tell them cuz they wouldn't care either. Most of them are stuck in the 9-5 race.

Sometimes they'll be interested for 30 seconds, then they go right back to complaining about how much they hate their boss.

Its not that they want to, but they are kinda addicted to that lifestyle. Can't help someone who is not interested in helping themselves.
