Hi,

There's a sub-niche I was looking before:

[Exact term] search at Google keyword Tool:

Global Monthly Searches : 1000 - 1600

Local Monthly Searches : 500 - 1000

Competition : Low to Medium (but mostly Low)

I was looking to make a blog and write high-quality articles around this sub-niche, but I think it will not be much profitable. (I think they have to start from 20k Global Monthly Searches to enter the game).

What do you think?

Thanks in advance.

Depends how you'd be monetizing it..
If it's a buying keyword and the product is like $5000 on amazon, I'd say it could be very profitable..

In what way you are going to monetize?
If adsense, then look also CPC
If CP, look is there good products to promote

The competition column is adwords competition, don't rely on that for natural competition. Best of luck though! Aim big, think positive. It all depends on your keyword too. Low competition usually means less Adsense earnings to my understanding.

No -- the idea is to first create good content and then sell to the list your product (which may cost $48). The idea is for Informational Product. Information to solve a problem.

I asume you are talking about Adwords competition there. How is SEO competition? Is the KW seasonal? How do you plan to monetize it? If via Adsense: what's the CPC? If via affiliate programs/Clickbank/CPA: Have you checked if there are products and/or offers that can be promoted in that niche? If so, what are their respective gravities, EPC's, etc, etc .

I could go on for a while, but I hope you got the point. KW/niche research is much more than local searches and Adwords competition if your goal is to make money. My advice is that you go deep in your research before making any call. Wasting time in unprofitable keywords is something that can be avoided easily with the proper research.

Good luck!
