From my experience.. No you don't.. I wouldn't bother with facebook... Just a bunch of old farts and people trying to show off their special kids.

Don't forget about the pedants who are all correcting each other's spelling.

Or the serial daters who keep posting about how happy they are with their best boyfriend/girlfriend in the world only to get a new one every week.

And let's not forget about all of the harlots posting pictures of their breasts with the description, "look at my new shoes".
 
Facebook likes are a part of the factors which help you to measure social media metrics and help you to measure your impact and success in social media.
 
Nopes its not worth it at all. With Facebook's new policies, It is difficult to even succeed with organic likes. Bought likes don't interact at all. They'll never care about your content.
 
Likes will sometimes cause a post/page to show up on others' newsfeeds. That is the primary benefit.
 
It's worth if you have a money making niche facebook page.

Example I have cosmetic fans fb pages, and I have 10.000 woman likes my page, and I sell many cosmetic in my page, I'm not using another marketing btw just facebook pages.
 
Now you can encash your likes by promoting brands on facebook, there are many advertisers who have listed heir requirements on fromote (search on gogole for exact website). you can submit your bids on the projects listed there
