Do you prefer to delegate tasks or do it all yourself?

And if you made the transition to 'delegating' vs DIY............. what changes did you see from delegating tasks?

Diy, I keep getting stupider people or high rate charging to delegate. So not working for me at the moment. But the quest is always on.

If you know already the stuff and can judge wether the delegate is good enough then you should delegate the work.
If he can do 80% of what you can do then it's enough

Delegate when I trust the provider.

I've way too many horror stories trying to delegate.

I do it myself.
Unless I absolutely cannot due to my plate full from higher priority stuff, I'll do it all myself.

I do both. If you have the money to do so. If you are just starting out, doing it yourself is the best way.

3-4 years

I can understand that. Still very early. Do you outsource any of your work though?

It's a VERY REWARDING QUEST TO CONQUER. I can tell you that. . Been on-line since 2004. Wish i had learned the ropes earlier.

Amen! You've been through it like me it sounds like.

Delegate when I trust the provider.

I feel like I eliminated many problems by trusting my gut and avoiding certain groups all together. Would you agree?

I do it myself.

How long you been doing it?

DIY.
Only when I simplified the process enough can I delegate.

Respectable.

Absolutely agree.

If you do not do it yourself before delegating you are opening yourself up to a failure situation.

Def having the experience of knowing what you need and what you should expect along the process, is important.

All my life, I am not the type that think I am better than others but rather I am super paranoid when I leave it up to someone else to do, even though 99 outta 100 times, the person I endorse it will be doing it perfectly.

Is there any course, tutorial or blog to deligate without going under water? I know there is 4 hour week book and some courses about hiring VA's. But it don't addresses going under water.

I used to be like that. Once I found a few good people to work though, it made all my losses/cringy moments worth it. Changed my life forever.

Can't even think about going back to DIY days. I'm 1000% more efficient with a team.

You should read a book about mastering 'teamwork' then one about delegating

You hve to learn to trust you instincts before all this though too b/c a lot of time we avoid wisdom in desperation. Can't lose the wisdom in the quest for finding people to delegate tasks. Because wisdom will cut through a ton of the BS

You have to delegate as much as you can to free up your time for important things and/or other projects.
Take some time to instruct the one who will do the work for you.

It is the only way to become wealthy.

Around 15-17 years ago when I started my IM career I was doing it all by myself because I had no money that time.

Now I have a small but wonderful team of good professionals including inhouse designers and freelance writers. I delegate the tasks to them.

But I make sure that I do it myself first and set the process right. My juniors only have to follow the path and principles I set.

Depends what you are talking about delegating.

I can build out a WP site but it takes me hours and looks crap.
I'd rather hire someone to do it who knows what they are doing.
In the 2 or 3 hours they are building me this site, I could have closed a deal to do SEO for a new client for $5k a month.

I have a guy comes and does our garden and pool, I could do this but I delegate it because I don't want to do it.

I am super paranoid about delegating. I really need to hire a VA but I am worried about them inserting affiliate links and all that. The only way to scale though is through having other people do the work for you. Right now, the only part I outsource is content writing. I do everything else myself: kw research, content planning, finding domains, web design etc. It is taking a toll on me though, and I really need to find someone I can trust.
