I'd take some time to explore the world outside the United States...go backpacking, through hostels and exploring...def what I'm gonna do when I start to make money.

Depression is just boredom.

Fair point really, don't think off the beaten track. It only leads to problems.
I seem to be on a run of bad luck at the moment but most of the time the harder you try the more you get back.
I got on the wrong side of an absolute nutter in town and I think he broke my nose, I looked like something out of the underground scene in fight club. Smiling and everything blood pouring down my face.

We were talkin fine for 10 minutes he's telling me to be a doorman and I'm sayin I should build up first etc, I'm walkin home and mid conversation he just turns round and has a cheap shot. I got in his face. He called me a man so I asked what the fuck he was doing and he headbutted me. So yeah sometimes there isn't much you can do but laugh.

If it makes you feel hard to cheap shot a 20 year old 11 stone LAD when you're 26 and about 17stone bouncer then more power to ya.

Dumb prick even told me his name and gave me his number, psycho's in this world you've just gotta ride it, life is a journey and all that.

"I have always had a roof over my head and there has never been a day that I have gone hungry." Not to be rude but that is part of your problem. You have the luxury of being able to have an inward focused life and worry about pointless unanswerable questions.
I grew up poor, been homeless and went without food. The one thing I realized when I was with other homeless people is they have outward focused lives. None of these people were drunks, druggies, mentally ill or schizophrenic. They were just people without a house.
They don't worry about pointless things.
They don't have that luxury.

"throw society into utter chaos. That would be very exciting; a throw back to survival of the fittest" It is like that everyday for them.

They are worried about more than day to day survival.
They use their brains to think of ways to make what they have better. The men living under the bridge took odds and ends out of the trash and with no tools made a private area for the women that were living there.
They spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to help people they think are less fortunate than them.
They will give up food for each other and help each other anyway they can.
If anyone has a right to question the meaning of life it is them, but they don't.
It would seem their life would be empty and meaningless but it isn't.

It is sort of a Dr. Evil thing. You can use your brain to worry about unanswerable esoteric questions or your can use your intelligence to find something meaningful in your life.

And yes I practice what I preach. Some of these people are uneducated and I help them get assistance with system, I have hired them, washed their clothes, bought shoes, clothing & sleeping bags. I have volunteered my time and computer skills to help with the local homeless shelter to raise money for a permanent shelter. Nothing cheers me up as much as taking a sack of $1.00 burgers under the bridge. I am woman and I go alone, no one has rapped stabbed, kidnapped or given me a disease.

Are you kidding me? You make your money online and don't need to work much, you realize thats what 99% of people on this forum are desperately trying to achieve right?

Jesus, stop being a whiney bitch and wake up, go outside, start living.

I do.

Quite a lot actually and it impacts on my ability to work as well as my motivation. I'm not talking about the teenage blues either, I'm in my late 20's and past all the minor issues (in hindsight) that bother you when you're in your teens.

We live in very interesting times but there is very little in the way of challenges. I read a quote once that stated

That describes exactly how I feel.

I'm a huge fan of Horatio Hornblower (books and T.V. series based on the life of a Navy officer) but I know I will never experience the thrill of discovering an unknown land and risking life and limb in the process.

Sometimes I wish an asteroid would hit earth and throw society into utter chaos. That would be very exciting; a throw back to survival of the fittest.

I've done some traveling, so it's not like I need to get out more but the problem is you already know what to expect. Planning a holiday? You can get an idea of where you're going by watching videos on Youtube and reading about the experiences of other people online to the point it almost feels like you've been there yourself.

I earn my living online, I have always had a roof over my head and there has never been a day that I have gone hungry. My lot in life is better than 99% of the other people who call this planet their home.

I'm not suicidal but I often wonder what the point of life is and I always conclude that life has no point. Some what nihilistic but then I want to know why life has no point. In the end, I guess it's all about the biological urge to procreate but that doesn't make me feel any better.

The point of life is to find or CREATE a meaning and purpose. ;) Just because the world has been explored doesn't mean that it has been explored from YOUR perspective. Everyone experiences things differently. YouTube will NOT give you real experiences of places and people. The real experience is going and DOING it yourself. If you find regular travelling boring, do something that you've never done before to make yourself feel more "alive". Learn how to deep sea dive. Rock climb. Base jump. Camp out for a night under a bridge just for the experience. Go to a restaurant and "borrow" some utensils or something. Your life has no meaning and is boring because YOU aren't doing anything about it. You can't just expect amazing things to happen by sitting on your arse. Take ACTION and go FIND the excitement or CREATE it if you don't have the resources to find it. :) When was the last time you went roller skating? Went to a hockey game? Saw an opera? Went kayaking? There are a shit ton of things that can give you that excitement, meaning, and purpose..... The meaning and purpose of life is created by YOU and YOU alone....

There is some good info in this thread already. (Except the bit about having kids - kids are not toys to make you happy. And I agree with the OP about prescription medication - avoid this if you possibly can.

What you need to do is change your thinking.

It sounds like you are doing alright with IM. Perhaps you've acheived a goal you've set? I've felt down in the past after acheiving a major goal that I'd been working towards for a number years. After the elation of getting there wears off, you're left with a feeling of "yeah, well now what?" I later learnt this is a common feeling. Now I have multiple things that I am working towards. If you're struggling for motivation, try listen to some Tony Robbins stuff.

If you haven't already read it, read the 4 hour work week. It's a great book for people in IM anyway, but part of his philosphy is to forget about owning stuff and go do stuff. Get out there and have some great experiences.

Travel. I mean really travel, not just buy a package tour. Buy a ticket somewhere, book your first night's accomodation only, then wing it from there. Try to get off the standard tourist trail and see what its really like there. I've travelled a lot and it still amazes me how generous people are in the poorest countries in the world. I've lost count of the times I've been invited into peoples homes for a meal or a cup of tea. Often there is no running water, the bath is the river, and the toilet is the hole in the ground 100 paces from the house. One house I had dinner in had a door and window frames, but no doors or windows. It's easy for me to be greateful for what I have, and realise just how fortunate we are to have been born into a Western country.

Donate your time or money to a worthy cause. Everyone's idea of worthy will be different, but if you are looking for ideas you could try habitat for humanity. You raise/donate some money to the project, then travel to the country and help build houses for people that need them.

Don't underestimate the effect of diet and exercise on your mental wellbeing. Avoid processed foods, and do some aerobic exercise dailly. You'll find you'll feel better, concentrate better, and probably get more stuff done.

Summary:
1. Experiences are better than things
2. Set goals. Always have something to look forward to.
3. Be gratefull for what you have
4. Help those less fortunate than yourself
5. Diet and Exercise

OP: Someone once told me,
"Life has no point. Stop whining and make something of it or kill yourself."

...I was too young to understand what it meant at the time, but it makes sense now.

Being "depressed" isn't going to accomplish anything one way or the other. The worst thing you can do is sit on the fence and feel sorry for yourself. Simple as that.

kids are not toys to make you happy

I heartily disagree sir :)

lol you want me to die virgin :O bad bad ...

I feel depressed constantly, mostly because I am under pressure to start making money online again, cause now I am living from my savings which are going to gone in about 6 months and I don`t have no other options like to go to live with my parents or get a normal job, etc...

billions of people dying for your amusement is not necessarily the healthiest thing to be wishing for...
just sayin'

Your challenge is to reach Jr. VIP status...then your life will suddenly become meaningful and you will uncover the mysteries of life, the universe and everything.

Depression might be just a thing a you see things in a bad way. If you see things in another way, maybe life will be greater than you think.

I'm in my mid 20's and I just found a great job with that offers a great salary and benefits. Coworkers are friendly and I see things way more different than before I got this job. Sometimes it's just about timing or maybe you have to take some actions to change the way you see things. If I didn't start to look for job opportunities, I won't be what I am today.

Having an objective can help to get over depression such as voluntairy work, learn to cook, renovate the house, etc. Doing some social activities and meeting new people can help us to see things differently.

Yes! Get out there and do something. Do ANYTHING. Try some new experiences and you'll soon find some that you really like and want to become good at. You're also bound to meet a few new people.

Get outside of yourself. Drop your own ambitions and normal life.

Take some time to serve others. I don't mean volunteer for a few hours at the soup kitchen.

Find a poor village in your country or a different one. Figure out their culture and invest your own time and money in helping to make their life better in a sustainable way.

Invest in other people, they will invest back in you.

You're an entrepreneur already. Become a social entrepreneur. Find a cause and fight for justice.

I used to have a major depression problem. By aged 16 i already tried to kill myself more than 10 times. I'm 20 now.I visited physiologist, and used pills too,but I didn't want to live like a drug addict needing medication in order to be able to live,so I told my doctor that I didn't need medication. She tell me that if I get depress again I would have to use them double the time. Today I'm a depression free person,I must have to admit that my faith in God help me a lot,and Im not promoting Christianity in here.At times I get random thoughts about killing myself but I just ignore them, and thing on how my love ones and friends would feel about losing me,and on how weak would I be by dying a simple death as suicide. I realize that depression can only depress us if we let it to do so. Its all mental, what you think about yourself that is what you will be. I'm not afraid about anything, this world can get destroy and all of us die and I couldn't care less...oh wait I'm going emo again...so yeah,if I were making a living online I would it be the most happy person in this freaking world.I will help my family,my girl, and Church, even though I don't go there anymore -_-. I've being trying to earn a living Iming for a long time,at first I got scam couple of times, then I learn there were forums like this one. I make some $ here and there but that is far...really far from banking. My first $400+ online were selling ebooks at DP,but that is not working as before plus is not worth my time.(Disputes, refunds, etc) At the moment Im testing Ineo to see how it goes, anyways I'm way off topic already. Just be yourself, and dont feel bad, think about how successful you are,and how extra ordinary, making money online is impossible for millions and millions of people in this world,so man feel proud about it,and be happy, marry your girl if you aren't already, have a child, love him and protect him, when he grows up teach him the roots and he will be happy,to do what he father does. I have being with my girl for 3 years,we love each other, the only person that know everything about me,fake facebooks accounts, projects, plans, ideas is her. If I were making at least $5k per month I will marry her right way and even buy my own house, each day I go to bed at 5-6am just reading, testing, and implementing stuffs. I already quit college, just to have more time at hands.I have a partime job which I loves, but I dont plan to stay there for the rest of my live,so I need to make this work, this is my goal in live,my dream, after reaching it,I will get new ones. As somebody already say, live is like a videogame, the only different is the you play in the way you want, and the missions/goals/objectives are your own and not something that you need to do just because everyone else is doing it. I know this post is really close to useless so I will give you a anti-depression method.

So this is my advice to you.And I know this will work like a charm,100% guaranteed. Just follow the simple steps below.

1.Make a new offline/online friend
2.Teach him how to bank big like yourself
3.Teach how to scale things up and bank even more
4.Play mmo games together until becoming the top 2 players
5.Then go back and bank some more money

Important Note: I recommend the person you pick to be your new friend know another language beside English, this way if you guys decide to go on vacation together with your girls etc,he can be an interpreter. A recommend language will be Spanish. I know we don't have a lot of Spanish speakers here,so I can be your new friend. Pm so you can start teaching me how to bank. Ps: I won't charge you to be your offline/online friend =D
