Do you believe that Google "promotes" sites built with WordPress?

I don’t believe Google favors WordPress websites over other CMS. I think Google just doesn’t value mediocrity anymore. And if you look at it closely, you would see that most other CMS are not high value regarding SEO.

This is more like a correlation rather than a causation and there are many free plug-ins for WordPress to auto-optimize itself.

Google doesn’t directly favor WordPress over other platforms, but WordPress inherently aligns with many of Google’s ranking factors, making it easier to optimize for SEO.

I don't think so. It's more like a conspiracy theory. Everyone talks about WordPress only because there are so many sites built on it. And, to be fair, it easily covers all SEO needs. So why make something up? But I don't think Google cares about that.

By the way, I personally think that Google boosts sites built on self-written engines. I've had several such projects. Although, there's probably an explanation for this too — such websites work better and faster.

Yes.
Can you let me know why you think Google does not or cannot promote a WordPress site?
Google does not promote or rank a website just because it is built on WordPress or any other CMS. It only promotes sites that are well SEO-optimized and provide value by fulfilling the user’s needs.

In one of the most valuable searches within my niche, I’ve noticed a pattern regarding rankings. It has to do with the software used by the sites ranking in the top five positions—they are all built on WordPress.

The site I’m working on, which is also on the first page, has been developed using our proprietary software, designed with a similar logic to WordPress. However, after monitoring the competition for several years, I’m starting to believe that—whether officially or not—Google seems to "promote" WordPress sites, as if they are inherently more Google-friendly.

Have you observed something similar, or is it just in my head?
It’s not WordPress itself that ranks higher. Google favors sites that are technically SEO-friendly, which WordPress makes easy. Your custom platform can rank equally well if it matches those SEO-ready features.
