Do you believe in "trusted" hostings?

I heard a lot of myths that some hostings is more trusted in eyes of Google and some of them are really bad for SEO , do you believe in this ? and what hostings are the most trusted, how do you think?

If the hosting company goes out of its way to talk big about its 'blackhat' uses, you probably would be very justified in stepping away

I kind of always believed in this, even it may sound silly. Wherever I hosted my websites (since I do this) I tried as much as I can to get dedicated IP from hosting provider and I did always felt safer by doing so.
