I am no good at coding and I have a few websites. For the most part I use WordPress with a drag and drop builder (Elementor) or a WordPress template purchased from third party (envato). In the beginning it was just about getting a web portfolio up and going but now I'm looking to work on the SEO and marketability.

If I'm using drag and drop builders or pre-made wordpress templates, does it hurt my SEO?

No.

If the server and template loads slowly, it will impact your SEO.

The way you make it has no impact.

Yes. According to a popular ebook by a renowned member here, @phpbuilt, some themes can inject keywords in several sections of your website, which may affect your keyword density and indirectly, your ranking. Can't remember the title of the PDF but it used to be popular on BHW.

Yes. Themes load unnecessary codes and plugins which increases the page size which directly effects the page speed which in turn seo.

If the theme loads too slowly, then yes, you're potentially in for some trouble.

Just pick a theme that loads fast and you'll never have to worry about it. There's even services here on BHW where people can help you optimize your theme to make it load a lot faster. Try running your site's URL through tools like GTMetrix and Google PageSpeed to see what score your site gets and if you think it might impact your SEO. Good luck, mate!
