I'm using a $150 phone and it can do anything that $1000 can do. Yeah, the quality screen of $1000 phone is better, it runs a little bit faster but, in general. Most of the tasks you can do just fine with much cheaper phone right ?. Why people paying 6x higher price for the phone which some of them dont even need.
My guess: Marketing.

My guess: Its ours longing. My mobile cost $430.

Nowadays, people are more in pursuit of the speed of mobile phones. I don't think it's necessary to buy too expensive mobile phones. A mobile phone with medium price is good

They're no longer phones, they're actually miniaturized computers. So for a few hundred bucks you're actually getting a very powerful palm-sized computer. It's a pretty good deal IMO.

Well the main factor I believe why phones are so expensive is because every phone comes with a motion sensor system . Some phones have more advanced motion sensory technology then others . Thus you have entire phones that have price adjustment connected to what type of motion sensor you have on you're phone.

Did you know every new cell phone can tell if you're walking and where youre walking?.
There is a certain forced 3rd party activity on you're phone that is telling a 3rd party ( I forgot the name of the group that is responsible for hacking into youre phones motion sensory system but they are a government connected company that store all you're phones motion data. )

If anyone knows what I'm talking about please elaborate.

SmartPhones are now a trend - Marketing 100% - same you do with a $50 - $350 range than a $1000 - $2000 one. But marketing sells so ... why not a $2000 one?

Let` see: In my country people for 300USD for a month - and if they wanna Iphone 11PROMAX wich is 1500 usd - let`s see = salary for 5 months definetly doesn`t worth and OF COURSE WE PAY TOO MUCH

Why people using apple products than microsoft ?

Some wants the functionality
Some wants the view
Some wants both

So is the world moving
So is the difference in costs

Why are people eating better food, living in better houses and places, wearing better clothes? Same here.
Better food provides better health e.t.c, that low quality food can't, so also is better house and place compared to low quality houses and shot holes.
I don't see the purpose of $2000 phone order than flexing.

Yep, you are talking bullshit. :) Regardless of what phone you are using, even prehistorical one, via cell towers triangulation your position can be determined. Modern smarthphones? Your gps module is active 24/7. Also there is no "motion detection" anything responsible for the high pricing - any phone with GPS is tracking your location, all the time, regardless of being a $30 or $300 or $3000 phone. There is no need to "hack" your phone, as your telecom will give your location and movement information to the local authorities, if such needs arise.

About the OP original question. People like good quality stuff. Quality is associated with price. For you $1k maybe are a lot of money, but realistically speaking any citizen of developed country can spend $1k every 2 years without much of a thought. Thats probably less than money spend for coffee in this 2 years.

This was THE phone
