Do people make a living doing all these methods?

Hello,

It seems most people miss this question of yours so ill answer.
This, personally, i think is the most viable way, especially when you are starting out. Write articles for yourselves and keep updating your site until it makes about $15 - $20 a day and it is totally doable since you have about three months (u said u want some results by September). Try to write as much as you can, put quality to the articles. It takes at the most an hour for 1 article, try to do 2 or 3 a day. And remember to build backlinks. Build them manually works just fine. Try to build 1 link a day.

By September, I guess u r going back to school, u can outsource the writing. U can hire a good writer to write 2 articles a day at $3 - $5 each. Now all u do is proofread and post them and still making $10 - $15 a day with minimal work. Then grow from there.

Dont give up.

10-15 bucks a day w/in 3 months?, no quiet realistic bro.....iI mean c'mon everyone would be rich then if that's true. I can do it too

If you saw the stats as far as who here is making real money, I'd say only 1% are.

OP, your question unfortunately can't be answered by the majority of people on BHW.

The majority of people on BHW are in the same boat as you and are trying to earn online but may not be actually earning a great deal yet.

Your question is like asking if you can get a job paying $1000000 per annum, the answer is yes, some people could get that job depending on their experience and knowledge but the majority of people won't get it.

IM is similar in that some people will make a fortune at it but the majority will not.
The difference is, there are few barriers, everything you need to know, you can learn, put in the effort then reap the rewards for yourself.

IMO, IM is great and the fact you are working for yourself should motivate you.
The only barriers are your own work ethic, if you are willing to work hard, work smart and are determined then there is NO reason why you can't make it.

Well i am not making money in BHW. But i love being here .. learning things and sharing.

I RANK AND BANK to make a living. Actually my client's site. I do not have a big client base but they pay me good and use my services for long term .

Of course. It's hard work ... well ok not hard work but certainly time consuming.

You need to work at it more than a 9-5, But remember you are you're own boss.

It wasn't that long ago I couldn't even afford my $11 a month hosting bill.

Now I'm paying freelancers $1000 to create me stuff at a whim.

So stick at it. You've made a good start and hopefully uo can put some of the money you make aside and invest that into something that you can make even more money with and grow from there.

A writers life is hard unless you're part of a team (or run a team).

Then again, quality > quantity..

But yes, people DO make tons of money with IM. It may have taken them months (or even years) to set it up completely, but they DO make it.

There is no other job in the world which you can just decide to do and have the possibility of making so much money.

Doing business = dealing with, reaching to people.
Internet is a tool which gives you access to whomever you need around the globe.

Consider statistics:

2005 - 1 billion people online
2010 - 2 billion people online
2014 - 2.9 billion people with access to the Internet
source: http://www.internetlivestats.com/internet-users/

Grows pretty quickly, as well as opportunities.
What are some implications which come to your mind?

Start with self-education on Personal Development, Business, Marketing, Advertising, Psychology etc.
Here're some cool reads as of late:

> Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
> The 4-hour workweek by Timothy Ferris
> Goals by Brian Tracy
> Influence by Robert Cialdini
> Conscious Business by Fred Kofman

Also, check out books by Dale Carnegie etc.
In other words, begin with yourself.

Read them all. Don't stop learning after school or uni, what most people sadly do.
Commit to a lifetime improvement. Look for your passion, then extend your
values outward in the world and reach out to as many people as you need to.

Ask yourself, HOW I AM BEST SUITED TO SERVE HUMANITY?
HOW CAN I HELP?
ANSWER THE QUESTION AND PUT IT TO PRACTICE.

Go do it! All the best!

Fact is, 99% of the people who attempt to make money online will either fail or make very little. There are many reason people fail, but there a few that stick out to me.

1) Under capitalized
2) Lazy
3) Zero business sense

Imagine if you had a super cheap building on 7th ave and 46th street in New York City (Times Square).

Rent was 1.00 a month.

You sold Botttled water, soda and beer for 1.00 a bottle.

Your cost was .10 per bottle.

Could you make a living if you just showed up?

Absolutely!

Same thing in the IM industry... you almost just have to show up and do a minimal amount of work to make a living; work hard and you'll make real money because the marketplace is so huge and your cost of goods is negligible and the building rent is next to nothing.

Read Jstover77's 3 things and if #2 and #3 are not a problem for you (they are for a lot of people) you can figure out how to overcome #1.

To answer your question, YES! but be prepared to do hard work and long nights. However as they say work smarter not harder and you'll soon see that it is a profitable business.

Wow, so much good support on here. And I'm actually not going to school in September that I know of.. September is when things could be getting more serious with my girlfriend and I want to show her results of my work so she knows I'm not gonna be a moocher and actually try and provide for her. And this google adsense/wordpress site combination will hopefully be a good place to start.

You can make pennies a month while working your ass off and you can make $20000 with 3 days of work. Like with everything in life there is no standard answer. Some make money selling services, others make pennies while selling services. Some make money from passive income, others suck at that. And so on.

If you're asking is it possible, then yes obviously it is possible. Amazon, Google, WebMd, cNet, Wordpress, and the tens of thousands of sites that make huge money are the proof. If you're asking whether you specifically can do it, then how the fuck should we know?! In principle you can. In principle you can do anything, even become an astronaut. Making enough for a living online is not that hard but if you don't really find a way that work for you it can seem very hard.

What I can tell you is to forget about pure whitehat if you want money fast. Pure white hat is great if you are building a business and you're offering something of great value, not if you're trying to be the 1000'th competitor in some niche as an affiliate. If you want money fast and in good amount forget about whitehat and try to automate as much as you can, get huge work done with minimum effort, even if it is not quality shit.

A buddy showed me a site once and asked me how much I think it earns. I said "ummm... dunno... maybe $10-50/mo". It was an ugly ass site with popups and pages with a picture and under 100 words of text, and even that had grammar mistakes. Template looked like crap, had some PHP errors i the footer of the page, etc. Horrible site basically. He told me it makes him $1000-2000/month. I was like WTF! He did this as a lesson for my tendency to over analyze and over complicate shit.

Thing is, you can spend 1 day and build something that makes you $1000/month and you can spend 1 year and not go over the $100/mo mark because you're not focusing your energy where it matters and in the way it matters. Key is to getting to understand where the focus should be and having enough knowledge and skill to understand what you need to do and how you can do that.

Good luck!

10-15 bucks a day w/in 3 months?, no quiet realistic bro.....iI mean c'mon everyone would be rich then if that's true. I can do it too
Then do it,put some effort and there is a big chance you wil success
Personally,I'm making(Or I'm going to make) 18$ a day with a little effort
I consider this site to be one of the greatest things to happen in my life.Really.Untill I've entered here I had not even thought about making money with IM but now I think that this MUST be my future work.

One lesson I've learned the last years: Never put all eggs in one basket! Especially if you're doing SEO or something else which is depending on a big-ass Company like Google. Try to establish your bread-and-butter-business and keep your eyes open for new methods.

Well I suppose adsense requires a lot of patience and earnings may not high enough for all as it depends on a lot of factors...

I make over six figures using IM.

Like others in this thread have mentioned, the key is creatively and applying the principles and techniques you learn on this forum to other, more traditional business models.

Some guys on this forum are insanely clever, there is a LOT to learn. Try to read the forum at least 15 minutes a day, and maybe nab a few books.

You should also be tenacious! Be ready to test test test test test, and then test some more. Failure is ok provided you don't mess up in the same way twice :)

They sure do. As alot of people have said, it really depends on what you put in (And not being totally, completely braindead).

IM has been my only source of income since I was 15 - 9 years now. I make more than most people twice my age.
