Do Instagram stories still help with engagement ?

I think Instagram Stories still play an important role in engagement because they allow more frequent interaction with followers Features like polls questions and quick updates can help keep an audience active even when regular posts are less frequent
 
For me reels bring new people, stories keep old people warm. I dont get big reach from stories, but replies and trust still come from there
 
Not as much as Reels engagement, if only small accounts i'm not even try or bother to use stories, better just focus on Reels.

Reels worked well for me rather than stories. but both have value. you can post reels to get new audience and put story to get engagement from your followers
 
Most of my new followers come from Reels. Stories are where I get replies and conversations
 
Reels are all about attracting new users, while Stories are about retaining them and building excitement for the product.
Reels definitely dominate.

Yes of course stories still work for instagram engagement just make them ads.
 
Reels are getting the reach, no doubt, but stories still sell better for me when the audience is already warm. Like if someone watched a reel then starts seeing your stories daily, that’s where the DMs and clicks come from. I wouldn’t judge stories by views only... replies, sticker taps, link clicks are the real signal. Polls and “this or that” stuff still works weirdly well too, even in boring niches.

stories are indeed good to keep your audience warm but even better; using it for 'story sequences', so this way you talk directly to your ICP and convert them by having them DM you. doesn't matter what you sell, works on low, mid and high tickets.
 
Reels bring more traffic then stories but stories are really good to engage your followers.

Reels and Stories serve two completely different purposes. Reels are the primary tool for reaching new users and attracting followers, while Stories are where you maintain deep engagement, build trust and close deals with existing audiences. This is just my personal experience. :D
