I just purchased a few domains and I want to 301 redirect them to my site. Upon checking the website in google using site:example.com, they are already available and indexed. Now, do I still need to add them to my search console before making a 301 redirect? Or I can now 301 these sites from my domain dashboard?

Hey mate, you can 301 redirect to your site. Just ensure that you drip feed them and not at one go. This is to avoid raising a red flag from Google. All the best!

301 from the domain provider, point to main folder....

Thanks guys! Yes, I have drop feed them. I redirect them 1 week each domain. It's been almost 1 week since I added the last domain for 301. But all domains are still not appearing on my ahref and gsc.

Yes (or you can also redirect using a .htaccess file), there's no need to add them to search console.

It can take weeks or sometimes months for redirects to take effect. It depends on how often those domains are crawled by Google. Be patient.

Just additional question. How can I 301 redirect all url to a specific url?

I tried direct 301 from namecheap to a specific url but when clicking a backlink, I am getting a 404 error on my page.

Example

301domain.com/12/12/hello to newdomain.com/hello

Instead of only redirecting directly to newdomain.com/hello, I am getting newdomain.com/hello/12/12/hello which is 404.

How do I fix this? I searched online and it tells me that I need to host the 301domain and just use htaccess to redirect. Is it the only way? Thanks.
