Hello Everyone,
Backlinks play a major role in the SEO part of digital marketing. These are also called as the backbone of digital marketing. Then there comes a question that whether one shoul focus on the Do-follow backlinks or No-follow backlinks. Well according to my experience, one should maintain a balance between the two while focussing a little more on the Do-follow backlinks because they pass link juice of the host website to ours and increase our authority. Apart from this, one should also try to insert relevant anchor tags in the website with the hyperlink to their website as they help web crawlers in crawling to our website easily through the host website.

in this regard you are correct in the sense that it's safer this way, but I have seen sites ranking with 100% DF links, so I'm not sure that it's still as big of a factor as it was in the past.

But yeah, having a mix of both DF and NF links is the safest approach :)

IMO tags only matter on big sites (with 1000s or millions of content pages). Otherwise - if your site has a clean and intuitive structure - I think that tags are not necessary anymore... unless maybe you're referring to something else?? Like, what do you mean by "anchor tags"?

That's true, do-follow boosts authority, but a mix of both looks natural and helps long term SEO.

******** backlinks can help enhance your site's authority and relevance, while NoFollow backlinks can be valuable for traffic and diversifying your link profile. However, it is crucial to focus on quality over quantity of links and collaborate with relevant and reliable websites to maximize benefits.

Exactly balance is key. Do-follows push authority, but no-follows still drive traffic, diversify your profile, and can lead to natural do-follows later. Google likes a link profile that looks earned, not engineered.

Do-follow links carry more direct SEO weight, but no-follow links still help with a natural backlink profile and can bring solid referral traffic. Google’s algo look for variety so having both looks like a more organic pattern.

You can balance do-follow links with social media shares (that count as nofollow links). There is no need to deliberately build nofollow links just for the sake of it.

I agree - a healthy backlink profile should have both do-follow and no-follow links. Do-follow links help pass authority, but no-follow links still bring referral traffic, diversify your link profile and look more natural to search engines. Over-focusing on one type can make your backlink pattern look suspicious.

You are tight, one should mix both so as to look natural.

Even in do follow backlinks, you need variety of links. Diversification of links provide more authority to website in eyes of google.

Agreed- do follow links boost authority, but no follow links still help with traffic and a natural profile.

Mix of both is required. And for do follow, quality is more important than quantity. Most of the seo professionals forget about this. They only care about number of backlinks. Sometimes having too many backlinks result in penalty from google because quality of backlinks is not good.

You need to diversify your backlinks to be seen as natural to G eyes.

A healthy backlink profile needs both do-follow and no-follow links but leaning slightly toward do-follow with relevant anchor text gives the best authority and ranking benefits.

Balanced link profiles with relevant anchors build both authority and long-term safety

I have noticed that some guys only focus on do-Follow but I think and experienced a combination of both is a great strategy.
