Do cheap domain name like .online .tech affect seo?

I have a doubt in my mind guys,

I am going to build a client website, he wants me to buy .online or. tech domain, Is there any problem in SEO ranking will come if I will buy these cheap domain names?

I've not tried them but as a user I've seen .download on very competitive niches so with the right SEO it shouldn't be a problem.
 
i want to say no, but take the easiest one to remember. if you have a weird name people wont remember it. intuitive shit is the key
 
No. It affects branding only.

Basic users have no clue these kind of domains are on market and usually think is something dodgy on the middle.
 
search your keywords in google and see which tlds are coming in top 10 in SERPS
now search some keywords for other niches and see what tlds are coming in top 10 in SERPS

you'll have your answer
 
I do think that .com appears on top rather .online site with same seo efforts.
However, I own a lot of other other-level domains like .online .site But I receive traffic on them as well.
I am not 100% sure though.
 
search engines have their own algorithm which no one knows how it works but I have seen .tech and .online in top 10 search of google and bing.
 
I have not worked with .online but have several .space, .info, .review etc. And they are ranking for the keywords. So I do not think it is much of a problem.
 
Try to buy a popular one it's easy to understand also. Even if you want to buy the cheap one, it's little effect on your SEO.
If you have a popular one it helps you to generate your reputation. It will also help you to reach the right audience.
 
.online extension is good for online services. And it takes some time to improve ranking than other TLD's. Have short and memorable domain name.
Build valuable content with quality backlink, increase brand credibility.
 
I use only cheap tld's in my movie niche cause com net org are all already used. For seo i don't think is there any difference between tlds.. Always got great results with .xyz, .surf, .kim, .trade, .report, .pw, .link, .digital etc...
 
there is website called web.dev, the .dev appeared like what ? 2 months ago.

the website has 1 millions traffic last month

I don't think that's the case. The reason why .com s seem to appear first is because that's the most common extension by far.
 
when was the last time you saw one of these domains ranking when searching for something on Google? :) .. this question should help :)
