DMCA Message everybody 2AM everyday , something is wrong

Hello friends I think something is wrong somewhere ! I am getting google DMca message everyday at the same time

I get 2 to 4 DMca e-mail from google every 2 AM everyday and I am worried about this ! All this scary DMca start rolling in ever since I noticed a referral from googleapis.com.

please I really need suggestions on how to deal about this ! I am runing a music download blog with DMca free host

I noticed some blog in my niche changing from www.domain.com to www1.domain.com ( I don’t know what that means , but I belive maybe they are runing from something by changing the url from www to www1 to www2

If you don't host the content yourself, then DMCA won't hurt you much. You should block bots and change URLs to avoid issues.

The www to www1 change is simple and you only need to change your A record or CNAME record to redirect it. But I suggest you to find other options before you do this as you may lose rankings and some people are claiming that it is not as effective as it used to be.

You need to set rules in robots.txt to block the unwanted bots. If it's a wordpress website, then wordfence also has a feature to block bots. Search on Google to find more about it.

What does your host say about this? Normally they’re supposed to help in these cases

I will be glad if you can give me the rules to set on the , and I don’t have wordfence? Can the free version do it ?

What do you mean DMCA won't hurt him if he doesn't host the content on his servers? Google will address all copyright claims if the owner of the content sends them to Google.

OP, if you're getting too many DMCA complaints then there might be a chance that the owners of the content are continuously monitoring its distribution. It doesn't matter whether you host the content yourself or not, if you provide access to it through your site you will get a DMCA complaint. All you can do is keep changing URLs of the posts that are getting removed because of DMCA complaints. People are using subdomains like ww1,ww2, etc. because it's better to set it up instead of changing all the URLs of the posts. Big movie sites do this a lot. There's no easy solution, you cannot run from DMCA complaints if you're running a site distributing copyright materials.

I don't understand from where did you get the idea that a host will help with DMCA complaints. DMCA complaints are a result of what you're providing on your site.

It doesn't matter whether you host the content yourself or not, if you provide access to it through your site you will get a DMCA complaint. People are using subdomains like ww1,ww2, etc. because it's better to set it up instead of changing all the URLs of the posts. Big movie sites do this a lot. Wordfence free version should do. Check options to block crawlers and suspicious IPs.

The situation will be far better if he's not hosting but giving links. There are many people who embed piracy films in a blogspot blog with a DMCA policy stating that we don't host anything and we don't take responsibility. The severity will be less if he's just giving external links instead of hosting them on his server.

Okay I will check the free version, hope blocking the crawler won’t affect my indexing ! And another issues is how to figure out the main ip coming to my site for copyright

Haha, sorry if it all sounded a little bit scary but it's true. Copyright is not a small thing if you're living in the first world or second world countries, because the rules are very strict there. I will try to sum everything up in a post when I get time.

I don't understand. How will it be less severe? In what terms you mean, to be precise? He will still get posts removed from Google index even if all he did was provide links. The Blogspots you are talking about will eventually be taken down if Google receives too many DMCA complaints.

The subdomains will be considered as brand new websites. You can do one thing, redirect the old mainsite.com to ww1.mainsite.com to pass the link juice and traffic. Do this only when you receive a lot of DMCA complaints and Google removes the majority of the posts from its index.

Looks to me the dmca so far is for Google serps so they may not have gone to his host yet,or no f course host ignores them depending where they are located.

u get DMCA, u should delete the page, of your site that get DMCA, u can repost with different URL, eventually u need to change domain

I don't know, mate. 44 is not much if you have a lot of posts on your site. If you have very less, then you can do the switch to a subdomain. But it will reset all rankings and you'll have to work from beginning to rank the subdomain.
