Disabling right click for content protection does effects SEO?
If you are worried that your content is gonna be copied by bots, disabling right click is not going to help.
If you think that someone is gonna copy your content manually, disabling right click is not gonna help too, cause there are few ways to do so..

IMHO it is a rubbish thing to disable the context menu . Context menu has many menu items which are needed for doing stuffs other than copying. Disabling these may not affect the rankings directly, but it will piss your users off. So, your bounce rate will be higher; which might end up hurting your SEO afterall. Don't do it.
Btw, even if context menu is disabled; people can just select the text and press ctrl + c if they really want to copy some texts. So, it does nothing but causing inconvenience.

To bypass disable right click I just to go to developer tools on browser >>>> show page source >>>>, and copy the whole code >>>> Then strip the html using any online html stripping tool. And viola, you have a article to plagiarize.

F12 on chrome for developer mode and you can even use the sources tab to download the whole website + resources along with it.

It's a poor user experience. I immediately close any website that disables my mouse' functions.

Yupp exactly. My banking application does this (too bad I have to keep using them). On top of that they throw an alert saying right click is disabled for security (in all caps). Speak about bad UX (and security noobishness.. but that's offtopic)

Yea, I agree with guys above, don't disable it, it will hurt your UX, but in the place of disabling it, add a feature, when someone copies something, at the end of the text automatically ads your url like - Source: blabla.com. Nice feature to get also some backlinks

Why would you want to do this? Scrape-n-posters arent gonna rank with duplicate anymore (unless your not indexing your content right away and using canonical links on your pages/posts), and preventing people from manually copying can inhibit links from other blogs using your high quality content for their own sites. That can also inhibit brand/site networking - in effect telling people to "get off" your proverbial lawn...
