Can someone explain to me what is the difference in digital marketing and SEO?

I can't figure out is that the same thing or two thigs that go hand to hand.
Watching and reading this posts, don't get it, to be honest.

It's sounds to me that people are using made up words.

What is SEO?
What is Digital marketing?
DOES ANYBODY KNOW OF A GOOD ROAD MAP FOR LEARNING THIS STUFF?

SEO is only for ranking sites. Digital marketing not only includes seo but other ways to promote your site as well like paid ads and various other methods

You can start with whatever interests you.

Basic step is to first learn theory about it. Then perform it practically on a small site. It will take more than an year to master it properly.

  • Digital Marketing: a broader range of online marketing activities, including SEO. It includes various channels such as social media marketing, content marketing, email marketing, pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and more.
  • SEO: Focuses specifically on optimizing a website or online content to improve its visibility in search engine results.and making wordpress websites not doing coding.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a subset of Digital Marketing. Digital Marketing encompasses a broader range of online strategies to promote products or services, including SEO. While SEO specifically focuses on optimizing a website's visibility in search engines, Digital Marketing involves a comprehensive approach that includes various channels such as social media, email marketing, content marketing, and paid advertising. In essence, SEO is a vital component within the broader spectrum of Digital Marketing, working to enhance a website's organic visibility in search engine results.

(What is digital marketing, why people use it)

2. Learn creating websites.
(Don't know what is better or easier
WordPress or Web flow)

3. Learn HTML.

4. And don't know after that what to learn

SEO in deeply intertwined with IM.

In the good old days of SEO, one could spam keywords left and right and still rank high. Nowadays, you must invest a significant amount of time (and money) in order to rank at all. That's where the tools and skills you learn come in hand.

And SEO is not limited to Google, either. If there's a search bar, there's SEO.

1. Digital Marketing is just Marketing applied to the digital era, that is, the skills and tools required to sell something to someone online. Simple in concept, damn hard in practice. It encompasses anything from Social Media to SEO and PPC. Each requires a lot of time to even wrap your head around it, let alone master. That's why most people give up early, don't do that.

2. That's a good objective. Think of a website as a storefront to whatever it is you want to offer. Bare in min that building a good website requires a wide range of skills. I'd go with WordPress any day of the week. (see more below)

3. HTML is required if you want to start building your own sites. I don't know much about CSS, Java Script etc. but I believe they're just as important for that.

4. Mastering such wide range of skills will eat a lot of your time. I wouldn't even think about trying other things before reaching a decent level at those skills first.

If I had to start from the very beginning, I'd go with WordPress. There's a high demand for that and I believe its not going to change in the foreseeable future. Pretty much everyone doing business online uses WP.

This is a great table. I will have to copy it :D

Thank for the explanation.

Yes.

Acquiring the skills necessary to build and maintain WP websites is good enough, but having the knowledge on how to market those skills is just as important IMO. There's where Marketing comes in.

SEO is search engine optimization. That means the actions you do to rank on google and other search engines. Digital marketing is a very broad subject. It is basically marketing online and consists of many methods to acquire leads online. SEO is a part of digital marketing .

Digital marketing and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) are two distinct strategies used to promote businesses online. Digital marketing involves the use of online channels such as social media, email, and websites to advertise products or services, while SEO is aimed at improving a website's visibility in search engine results, thereby driving more organic traffic and potential customers to the site.

it's simple - SEO is part of the overall concept and tools of digital marketing

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) only focusing on ranking of a website in Search Engine Result Page(SERP).where as Digital Marketing achieve business goals by interlink with digital platforms like youtube, facebook, twitter and many more

  • Digital marketing is a broader term encompassing all online marketing efforts, including SEO, social media marketing, email marketing, content marketing, paid advertising, and more.

  • SEO focuses on improving a website's visibility and ranking in search engine results pages (SERPs) like Google
It involves optimizing website content, structure, and technical elements to make it more appealing to search engines.
I hope this helps.
