I'm going to give Piqqus.com a try to see if it actually helps get Diggs. I found a good video to use...

Great idea for an experiment. However, I'm curious, why not try it out on a site of your own? Then, it won't be money wasted.
 
Piqqus does help you get diggs, I have used it in the past to receive about 30 more diggs to one of my articles.
 
I used this a lot about 6 months ago, with a good article I was able to get a couple thousand extra hits per day.

I would also love to know how many diggs you purchased ?

Did it take just a few to get the ball rolling, or did you throw a few hundred at it ?
 
The max number of Diggs you can use is 40 at a time, unfortunately. It also helped that this video was a huge viral success, but since then I have had success with other, less fortunate projects. Nice service, just remember that for every TWO Digg points you buy you get ONE Digg. It's a clever way of making more money.
