Different anchor links going to same page?

So I started blogging, I am a bit rusty on SEO since I have been focused on social media for the last 2 years.
My question is, when blogging, is it ok to link to homepage in every blog post using different anchor text? Also how often should you and does it help you rank with different keywords?

I already know how to do external linking using anchors, but I want to make sure site structure is correc in Google's eyes.
