Difference between Instagram Statistics and other analytics tools

Hello guys,
how are you? Hope everything is fine!

So, I've found out that my Instagram statistics are different from any other statistic of my profile analyzed using online tools such as Iconosquare (which is officially recognized by Instagram itself).

Is that happening to you too? My account has 200k followers.

For example, my Instagram demographic statistics are:

• Italy 23%
• USA 10%
• Indonesia 6%
• Brazil 6%
• India 5%

Iconosquare demographic statistics are:

• Italy 38%
• USA 10%
• Brazil 6%
• Indonesia 4%
• Spain 3%

India is a 2% after other countries.

So, as you can see USA and Brazil are the same. Indonesia it's pretty much the same, a 2 point error it's fine.

But what about Italy? It's a 15% points difference. India has a 3% difference.

Same thing for gender:

Instagram: 51% Male - 49% Female
Iconosquare: 55.4% Female - 44.6 Male

Even Cities are different:

Instagram:

• Milan 2%
• Riyad 1%
• Rome 1%
• Naples 1%
• Tunisi (without percentage)

Iconosquare:

• Milan - 2.65%
• Rome - 1.88%
• London - 1.02%
• Naples - 0.85%
• New York - 0.83%
• Paris - 0.81%
• Florence - 0.68%
• Turin - 0.55%
• Los Angeles - 0.45%
• Bologna - 0.39%

Cities like Riyad or Tunisi are not even mentioned!
I've tried other analytics online tools and everyone has same statistics of Iconosquare.

Do you have ideas of what might have caused this or how I can solve it?

you can use any of the analytics tools on Internet. I've searched on google and I've tried 3 or 4.

when i was googling all the tools that show followers country were paid. do you know of any free tools?

No, I'm really sorry. I'm paying too. Of course I'm not subscribing everywhere, but somethimes I use free trials to cech my statistics!

However, there´s where Iconosquare comes as a much better platform to evaluate your statistics, providing better results. Thank you very much for your explanation! The main issue with this difference between statistics is that a lot of brands ask me to send them my insights and demographics. Of course, they accept only Instagram Statistics and this really suck.

I know, that´s the bad thing about IG. But hoping it will work better soon
