Did Njalla Steal My Domain?

Hi, first of all, I am not very knowledgable about these web things. So please keep in mind that I might be wrong about anything, I am just expressing my thoughts and experience here.
I bought my domain from https://njal.la last year. I have been using them for over a year. It was all good until I couldn't renew my ssl due to malfunctioning nameservers, then trying to check the nameservers in my njalla account but being unable to log in, after that checking it via a dns checker website and seeing that they replaced my nameservers with their own nameservers, and then finally reading people's comments on trustpilot nearly all of which are about domain stealing issues.

So I suspect my domain might have been stolen by njalla, where I bought it from. Am I correct? If so, what are my options? What can I do?

I don't think there's much you can do. You are the 3rd member who complains about them stealing his domain name here in BHW.

Who are the previous two people? I wonder how they managed it. Because I don't know what can be done at this point.
 
There have been negative reviews about njalla for quite a bit now. Why are people still registering domains with them? As far as I know you don't own the domains registered with them.

Search in the forum for njal.la and see if you can find them.
 
You are the 3rd or 4th member i have seen here in bhw complaining about the same thing with njalla so its probably true, they stole your domain.

I recommend you to use Namesilo
 
Njalla takes your domains if it get good visiitors or if they receive any complaint. Also, they do not investigate the genuineness of the complaint and take your domain away from your account. It has happened with 15-20 customers of Njalla. Read BHW, Reddit, or other forums like Namepros and you'll understand that Njalla steals customers domains. Actually they are registered in their name. You as a customer are not a legal owner. So you can't argue if they took away your domain.
 
Yes its sadly true, I heard ist multiple times Here.. I am not wondering as the owner is the guy who runs ptb
 
It has been circulating for years that njalla steals domains with authority.
 
Just found the thread over Google.
To the login: I also can't login, it seems to be a bug on the website, since the site freezes the Tab when you try to login, even if wrong login data.
My DNS Entries are still fine, I didn't knew about the bad population. Got my Domain there for a decent time now, never had problems. But I guess I will move it away from them then, and just in case, changing my E-Mails tonight, in case they refuse to give me the Authentication-Code to move it. Luckily, I got one .is Domain (For political reasons), and the Icelandic NIC is pretty friendly, so I hope even with problems with Njalla, I could get it back, because the DNS entries are still as they have always been, including my Mail Setup (like hostmaster@, webmaster@ etc.). I own another .org Domain, which could be a little harder, because I only use it for "spam stuff", or stuff that's not as important. I'll see.

& For those calling for suing & reporting, do you know why peoples go with Njalla ?! you don't want your s**** to go to court, just let it go & move on.
 
Login is working again. I opened a ticket a couple hours ago and just got an answer that it should work again now, and it does (at least for me).
Already successfully moved my Domain directly to ISNIC, so my main Domain is safe already. Moving my .org domain doesn't work yet, because I get an error while unlocking it for Transfer. But at least it works now.

Well, I went there so my Domain can't be seized by German authorities (I'm german), because I insulted some politicians on twitter, because this already happened. Having the domain directly on ISNIC is probably the best choice anyways.
 
Yesterday evening ( europe time) I searched for domain ideas for xyz domains, on dynadot, tld- list ( is now complete down) and short time on porkbun. Found some shorter alternative names, shorter than eight letters.

Hence my short six letter last name was free with xyz domain.

Now here 5.45 am in the morning, names are taken , my short last name xyz domain too.

Some of these three stole it, dynadot, porkbun or tld- list.

But now the cat is out of the bag, you are not the owner of a domain so anyone can steal it, .....sounds like an elite genius idea?
Elite pharisees, outlaws all over the place on planet earth .......wtf?

Was there not a viral blogpost two years ago, that you can own an xyz domain?

I saw my short six letter last name as .co domain on an godaddyfokker auction price= $2800.......
With that no domain registrar will sell you for cheap like $30-100 a parked xyz domain who has the same last name.
On auctions co and xyz domains prices raises up.

When you have the same problem try to add a prefix to your domain name like; that, the, go, get or an x (if that is a good idea?)

Tld list steals now ! I Check my last name Patzer, taken long ago...

Then Patzers ( like Reuters) and it's free! Done a chatgpt evaluation check, name ist not well pronounced in english.Heck

Guess what? 20 minutes laters is taken by Annulet LLC, creation Date 2008 in whois tool! ....

How can that be from a domain search in 2024?

Three ,two, four, five letter names, all taken. I Wonder how big companies like Trump or WEF getting their short names?

Money rules the world and lobby organization.

Now for domain checks I use iwantmyname.

It's become criminal this type of domain stealing, what they do next?

When Trump plans to take
European companies, then better I buy domain protection,so that nobody can use my name for stealing,register company or trademark when that is possible.
 
I was able to transfer my domain successfully now from njalla after i reported to ICANN and Tucows. I registered my domain with them 2 years ago and they claimed my domain havent passed 60 days with them to transfer out. In August they responded this: o_O
The current registrar, OpenSRS, for the domain rejected the transfer request you submitted because of Initial 60 Days after icann trade.
LIARS!!!!
