Hey,

So I've a SE and I wanted to get into websites. I started a niche site after doing loads of keyword research and now I'm marketing it and trying to rank it.
Originally, I was on the first/second page of Google for my main keywords.

Than I bought 20k backlinks on fiverr...

I did not know backlinks could "hurt you". They got delivered in 24h and are all from crappy Russian sites and don't even match my anchors I provided.

Since than, my links on page one have dropped to page 2 and my page 2 links have dropped to page 3.

How do I fix this?

Thanks!

You do not fix it, you learn and move on to the next site.

Don't buy huge link packages to go directly to your site and don't use a fiverr gig as your main source of SEO direct to your site next time.

Your site is going to continue to drop in the rankings so just forget it and consider that you learned a lesson with this.

See the issue is I waited years for the domain, and its something I'm really passionate about. I already registered business & trademarks.

I understand damage was done, but is there anyway to at least reverse some of it?

Disavow the links, but Sir you are in trouble, fingers crossed!

Wait for a few more years then. You got it on 1st n 2nd page of google previously, meaning you do know abit of SEO. You just ruined yourself buddy.

Haha I thought I had found a deal on fiverr! 20k backlinks for 20 bucks. Boy was I wrong. I was getting ~30-50% search engine referrals per day and now ~5-10% per day.

Also they are almost all no-follow not do-follow. Does that matter at all?

[h=1]Google this and read this article:

Google's Matt Cutts: Link Spamming Google For A Specific Time Period? Then Mass Disavow Those Links.

Disavowing your links would be the first thing. I would also suggest looking around the Marketplace, many people are offering a service in which they clean up your bad links etc.

Of the links the guy set up:

~500 are from a PR5 site.
~200 from another PR5
~600 from PR0 US site
~600 from a F/10 pagerank (I don't know what this means, less than 0?)
~25 from a pr2.

The rest of the 20k are from pr 0 or lower foreign Russia and Brazil sites.

Should I disavow all the links or only the ones from sites that are other countries and don't have PR?

No guarantee but I would bet they are all junk.

Disavowing will take some time but if you are dead set on that then disavow all of them.

I wouldn't give up on your site, my site was on 1st-2nd page of G then i went and did some of my own crappy spammy links and before i knew it was back on the 6th-7th page for keywords with 0 Visitors a day. I cleaned up the links and came back with better high quality links and and back on 1st-2nd page for most keywords and actually the penguin update helped that. So just do your best on cleaning up the links and building better stronger ones and you should be ok

Also meant to mention this won't happen over night or even over a week or two, i think it took me nearly two-three months to recover from what i did to myself you just have to stick with it

I have basically turned into a long term ranker, but if you want to do Church N Burn then
stay away from Fiverr because you get all of the risk without the reward. Personally speaking
I always liked the Speed Rank team for pure blackhat style SEO.

I usually sum up SEO into three categories.

MNS Churn N Burn
Long term Authority sites
Local SEO (Usually service side)

So pick a business model and run with it. Stay away from Fiverr as much as possible.

Where can I learn more about becoming an "authority site"?
Long term ranking and such.

This is really what I want. I'm in the electronics space and have some really hard work put into my content (editors, etc. no spam)

I've spent time on warrior forum, webmaster talk for the past few years before coming here. But no tactics really "stood out".

Also I have ~$1k in a fund to spend on this site. Whats the best way to utilize that to drive traffic?

Really hard to just type it all out here so I would advise you to read what the experts are doing and
then test everything for yourself. Some good resources would be the blog ypickme and to see it in
action I would go with this authority site journey.

Good luck with it mate!
