Deleted Domains Worth Buying?

I am a newbie in buying Expired/Deleted domains. It would be great if you could help me to clear a few doubts regarding buying a deleted domain.
1. Do backlinks & DA still remain for a Deleted Domain.
2. Can we buy a Deleted domain from a different domain registrar?
3. Redirecting an Expired/ Deleted domain to my Money Site Domain improve its Authority?

By reading a few other threads related to the Expired/Deleted domain, I learned that we should do some good analysis of the past record of these domains before we buy them. But I couldn't find some proper answer for the difference between buying an Expired and Deleted domain and how it benefits my Money Site domain.

Yes, It's worth, but some domain is punished before.

1. Yes, but you should care for the links only. Metrics (DA, DR, TF etc) are only good if you need to sort thousands of domains.
2. Yes. You can register expired (available for registration domain) wherever you want. Expiring (aged, auctioned) - from several auctions - GoDaddy, Namejet etc.
3. The difference come from the backlinks. There are NO expired available for registration domains with 100+ Referring domains that are not spammed to death. The most you can expect is 30-40 referring domains with some decent links. With non dropped? Sky is the limit. And your budget of course.

Providing the domain is clean and has decent stats it is worth buying. If a domain doesn't have a dodgy past and clean backlink profile it is probably better than a fresh domain.
