Hello
I wish to bring into light, the new phenomenom of "Deepfake". A technique using AI that can successfully paste your face or identity to an existing or new form of media.
With the technique becoming more and more sophisticated the end result is shows that anyone's face can be planted into a video, Given that a good source of facial photos of the target is provided.
Most of the current uses for this have been for malpractice such as Fake/Revenge Porn, Political disinformation, and a slew of other nasty things.
While this can be a threat to one's image, and leads to disinformation, I can also foresee how this can be used to generate a whole new level of content creation. Such as creating Parodies, Web series, Scripting entire Movies with a cast, and then replacing their faces with A-List celebrities, other other actors.
The possibilities are endless.
Also interested how copyright/IP rights would be regulated, for this new type of media, where one can accurately use your identity in a cinematic role.
And how can one protect themselves from such.
How would you monetize this tactic?
