Death By Captcha Official Notification
Hi,
You may have seen that our service has had a drop in quality during certain hours of the day. This is due mainly to an unexpected increase in volume due to:
? The end of holiday season
? Problems that other services are having
We have had an increase of volume equivalent to 35% of our December average. The grand majority of this increased volume was submitted during our worker?s ?graveyard shift?. To serve as a reference, for every 10 employers we have at regular hours, we have 4 employers on graveyard shift. Our investigations have shown that limitations found on the graveyard shift are not exclusive to our service.
Because of the increase in traffic during these overloaded periods you might encounter:
? Slowness in the return time of your captcha?s text.
? Some or many of your requests will fail.
? You will have a reduction in the correctness rate in your captchas.
This is a graph that shows the regular and overloaded hours. Our server uses Eastern Time (http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/usa/eastern-time/)
We?re currently working hard to get more workers in the graveyard shift. In the meanwhile, we recommend the following:
? If you are in the American Continent:
o Leave your marketing software working overnight.
? If you are in Europe:
o Start your captcha decoding campaigns in the Mornings.
? If you are in Asia:
o Start your captcha decoding campaigns during the day time.
We are aware that we could reduce these overload problems by implementing a bidding system that increases the price during the graveyard shift, like many of our competitors do. However, our philosophy has always been that we must offer premium quality service to ALL our customers at a fixed price point. We hope that our past performance and service has earned us some credibility with you and that you trust that we will achieve this level once more very shortly.
If you are finding some problems with your submissions during regular hours, please message us and we will take a look into your account.
Best Regards,
