Death By Captcha Official Notification

Hi,

You may have seen that our service has had a drop in quality during certain hours of the day. This is due mainly to an unexpected increase in volume due to:
? The end of holiday season
? Problems that other services are having

We have had an increase of volume equivalent to 35% of our December average. The grand majority of this increased volume was submitted during our worker?s ?graveyard shift?. To serve as a reference, for every 10 employers we have at regular hours, we have 4 employers on graveyard shift. Our investigations have shown that limitations found on the graveyard shift are not exclusive to our service.

Because of the increase in traffic during these overloaded periods you might encounter:
? Slowness in the return time of your captcha?s text.
? Some or many of your requests will fail.
? You will have a reduction in the correctness rate in your captchas.

This is a graph that shows the regular and overloaded hours. Our server uses Eastern Time (http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/usa/eastern-time/)

We?re currently working hard to get more workers in the graveyard shift. In the meanwhile, we recommend the following:
? If you are in the American Continent:
o Leave your marketing software working overnight.
? If you are in Europe:
o Start your captcha decoding campaigns in the Mornings.
? If you are in Asia:
o Start your captcha decoding campaigns during the day time.

We are aware that we could reduce these overload problems by implementing a bidding system that increases the price during the graveyard shift, like many of our competitors do. However, our philosophy has always been that we must offer premium quality service to ALL our customers at a fixed price point. We hope that our past performance and service has earned us some credibility with you and that you trust that we will achieve this level once more very shortly.

If you are finding some problems with your submissions during regular hours, please message us and we will take a look into your account.

Best Regards,

Totally agree with wannabie, and thanks for the heads up Gr33nhat, always good to see disclosure of information

Thanks for explaining everything to your customers. I feel loved and for that you have earned +10 loyalty to your brand :D. Cheers

If you could make your OCR decode ReCaptcha, that would solve most of your problem. The website says the "most advanced" OCR on the market, but it still needs humans for ReCaptcha, which is where most of the problems lie.

Best Regards,

Are you not sending this notification out to your clients who are not members of BHW????

If there is software out there that can read the text on images and convert it to txt files then why can't decap services use that technology?

I think it's worth the research...

One more benefit to moving to the Philippines ... work regular hours :D

Actually I'm waiting for my Decaptcher stockpile to run out ... but them confirming that Decaptcher sucks kind of gives me a lot of hope with future AMR blasts, they've been pretty bad recently.

Just buy captchasniper and use it alongside DBC, job done then

DBC have better accuracy in solving captcha than Captcha Sniper.

Well, Use Captcha Sniper as primary de-captcha service and put DBC into backup source.

You will be able to do things with spending pennies and will get the job done as you said :D Not all softwares have that feature though.

We're working hard on doing that as well. Recaptcha versions changes very frequently. Are you having problems with your captcha correctness? If this is so, send me your username by PM and I'll take a closer look.

We have a similar notification in the "My Account" page in your Death By Captcha profile. Sending this by email will take sometimes to reach our whole userbase (and might also go into the spam folder)

Yes. This is possible, but its always less efficient than humans. You can get a correctness of 70% for a easy captcha, while you can get +98% when using humans.

Looking forward to have you as a client :). Thanks for your comment.

Very true, with CS I save about $1.5 out of every $10 so its a nice little back up, plus I have host files pointing from one vps to the other so it might even me $3 saved of every $10

People say this like its just that easy, It isn't. Even if you have a lot of money it is not. The only reliable way is to have human solvers. Google is always one step ahead with ReCaptcha. Once they change it even a little. It takes a bit of time to fix it. Thats why big companies like SENuke do not have a OCR for it yet even with all the money they have. Even Xrumer is 20% at best.

The service with Deathby has always been decent by my reckoning though ive only been active in IM for a few months.

Thanks very much for the update and transparency of the situation. Good communication is something that is missing in many business arrangements these days.

I love it when a business confronts their trouble head on and owns the problem. I hope you have a solid resolution soon. Cheers.

Thanks for coming forward with this warning - that would explain why I was getting so many failed captchas last night whilst testing (I was even getting blank captchas coming back - guess thats the timeout?)

Are any of the tech issues still going on Gr33nHat? I had my account banned this evening shortly after funding it for another 100k captchas...
