DAE Think Google is Going Crazy w/ Rakings Lately

Google has a big influence on US businesses and I think that the US version of Google should be regulated by our government. Google is basically able to influence the flow of cash internationally with the way that they rank websites right now.

Trust me, you dont want the US gov invloved in anything online. Everything the gov touches they f up. If you dont believe me, take a look around in any place in America. They are crushing the life out of the middle class and thats why I been after IM so hard in the first place. I am gonna work for me and not them.

LOL at the feds regulating G and pickin where the money would go... sorry bro

Back to the G Search Algo please. Yes? Thanks.

I was thinking more along the lines of Google having to provide outlooks to the government on the financial impact that the changes will have. Then they would have to get approval.

I agree that G is going for big business. Their slogan is "Don't be evil" BS...They have become too big too fail like the banks and just as evil. I had a very competitive keyword locked between #1 and #2, early April it took a huge drop. Who is there now? Big sites: best buy, cnet etc. They weren't even close to targeting the keywords I did and now the big hitters took out the first 10 spots and not even optimized for the keywords. Hopefully one of the other search engines comes up with something better and knocks them aside.

Apparently I DO NOT KNOW how to reply to stuff in multiquotes here but...

I regained a number one page that was lost in Feb back to number 3 and have it bouncing mid page after 3 months of being buried past 100 but steady linking.

Overall it looks like some pages are recovering after the huge Feb/March Panda but definitely not moving fast.

I did rank a brand new site in March with no backlinks, starting banking cash, was visited by Google 6 times over the course of one afternoon, and subsequently a week later the site has disappeared completely and I had 15-20 pages ranking in the 1,2 and 3 spots. NO BS. I thought i had the magic back but really after careful thought and consideration, I just think G is plain f-ed up right now.

Whomever said they thought I was a whitehatter, ahh hell no, I started this game with re-bills a few years back so that should explain a bit about my morals.

As far as what to do for ranking right now? I have been hitting my good stuff with killer in-content/context anchor links from good sites and I have saw crazy deep G dances which also leads be to believe G is f-ed up but also I think the G dance became a bigger and more complex, most likely longer lasting part of IM. Moreover, I can't seem to do anything right now but I do agree with the social bookmarks maybe becoming heavy hitters.

I am glad that people here are talking and explaining things back and forth because if we all continue to work together we can conquer G and bank fat money.

One last thing, I really think that if your site is banking with G search results for free and G finds out you a one man band, that they take your stuff off cause they want all the money to stay corporate and in their pockets, but thats just my little conspiracy theory, dont even ask me about the federalis

Thanks all. Hit me up, keep this thread running, whatever, someone please show me how to multiquote, maybe I'll have to look it up

Peace!

possibly the dumbest thing I've heard this week.

Only the 84 IQ chumps over at WebmasterWorld believe the "Panda = quality" propaganda coming out of Google's PR machine.

Crap content leaves the visitor wanting and thus drives a higher ad CTR. My thin crap sites always made x100 more in PPC dollars than my super high quality white hat authority sites. Google's search results are the same way. They aren't going to float a giant batch of super shitty rankings unless the profit margin and ad clicks are increasing, and that is very likely to be the case. Panda is right on the edge of optimal income for Google and piss poor quality. With no competition on the horizon they've finally taken the gloves off and aimed straight for maximized ad CTR.

Wikipedia is another ad click driving device for Google. They rank that crap #1 - #3 for every keyword known to man and that is because they know visitors will see it and then hit Google's PPC ads in pursuit of what they're actually looking for. Google uses many other tricks like this to fuck with the search user in order to drive clicks to their PPC ads. Panda = ad click driving tricks on steroids, nothing more and nothing less.

Welcome to the new era of Google no longer hiding their sole priority and purpose; ad clicks. Panda 2.0 buried SEO six feet under and turned ranking a site into a fucking Vegas roulette table. Arbitrary factors now seem to determine which little guy gets traffic and ultimately which little guy gets paid. I wouldn't be surprised if half the major money sites out there are run by people who know Google employees or have back door deals (manually adjusted rankings). The whole rotten Google tree stump is probably full of maggots at this point. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Google has absolute power at this point and is being propelled by a river of ad dollars flowing into it. Try and name 2 people more powerful than Larry Page and Sergey Brin. These guys could tilt global elections at this point, topple major companies in a day, etc. They are or are close to being the two most powerful people on earth at this point.

And fuck Matt Cutts. The dude is Google's version of Joseph Goebbels. He's a liar first and foremost. Exploit Google with the gloves off now. I was white hat for 8 years but not any longer. Do whatever it takes to survive.

backlinks still work, just different type of backlinks are favored nowadays. I think you can try to build contextual backlinks, as long as it's inside article, that surely would help (no matter what the article is). Social bookmarking is the new spam game too as far as i have seen.

I agree that panda latest update was not intended to clear spams. Fu** google.

Can you be more specific ?

social bookmarking service. Go and find that in BST section. A lot of people don't social bookmark their backlinks. If you do, it might help your SERPs. I dont know how much the effect on individual SERP but it might be true.

Thanx mate !

Exactly, spun spammed bullshit sitting in the 1st 9 positions while my site has dropped into the hundreds. Used to be on page 1. All unique content. I dont get it either.

Just because you see a spammed page at #1 doesn't mean it will be there tomorrow. They may have just finished a big campaign and google hasn't had time to review how long people stay on that page yet.

Backlinks are still working, but it is more effort now than ever before.

My sites going up and down now also... :P it pops up to page 1 or 2, and then it goes off the charts for all keywords, and then it springs back up. I'm not sure... I have Scrapebox running 24/7 though, two sessions for two sites.

The sum of all our posts even if it probably wasnt your intention basically is:

Scrapebox/Xrumer dont work anymore.

Google just devalued comment and profile links. As easy as that.So go back to backlinking all your sites with each other :)

Interesting summary my friend. Would like to know if anyone thinks or knows if this is true?

This is precisely what is happening. Brilliant post.

It is beyond belief that you make a site with high quality links, great content, EMD and fully optimized for your keyword(s), only to see it outranked time after time by cnet and bestbuy. There is seriously something shady going on here.
