Curious about starting a TOR site.

Hola,

I am kinda curious about the deepnets, specifically TOR and i2p. There is very little competition, and you could establish yourself as a leader in some genre. I have a few ideas, but I wanted input. What are your thoughts on i2p and tor as marketing platforms for shady content (not anything too shady, but like warez and such)? I am already looking for a host, but haven't gotten any emails back so far. Thanks

Interesting question, I am curious about this as well. Anyone else have experience in Tor and i2p?
 
I don't want to sell anything illegal (sorry, no snuff XD). No CP, drugs, or snuff. I have a few ideas, but I won't share hehe. I just thing there is huge potential. Some of the stuff that at least used to be on there scared me sh*tless. I decided to forget about that, and focus on the IM side of it. I want to try and get a freedom host invite, but I may end up with a VPS, but I am waiting to hear back. I am also interested in litecoin. I think there are niches on there waiting to be picked. Hell, Dread Roberts is earning 6k a day. Sure, I am not saying be a pedo or drug dealer, but I think there is bank to be made. And btw, silkroad is not just drugs. There was also some Mark Skousen ebooks and Simon Black stuff on there. If I rap my hands around it I might make a guide :D .
 
As for i2p, I have absolutely freaking no clue. TOR seems to have more marketable value, but I am not sure.
 
In addition, my ideas are not on the hidden wiki, torlinks, tor dirs, etc. I researched.

tor is very slow and has little traffic compared to the internet,most of the people go there for cp,drugs or guns.There is no reason why you should open a site in tor and not www

My guess is he's looking forward to opening it on both. If Tor adds to the WWW one, all the better.

prq.se would be an excellent choice. They accept anything except cp and spam
 
Freedom Hosting is the Norm in TOR. But if you're exotic you'll setup a TOR server with a node/relay on a VPS and make sure your content is 128-bit encrypted. Depending on how illegal your activities are, you could STILL get into a lot of troubles.

Be sure to weight the pros and the cons before making a move. TOR is full of Honeypots and it is monitored closely by the FBI
 
My site would not host anything, but merely sell these things in question. I tried contacting a few people about hosting, but haven't heard anything for a few days. One of the ideas is perfectly innocent, the other is kind iffy. The one is more a marketplace, so I would never host something I would regret.
