Crypto Trading Competitions - What do you think?

So recently trading competitions have been popping up on exchanges and it seems pretty fun, especially on platforms that are super user-friendly and don't have crazy requirements.

I last joined one of these on-chain trading comps and won something, even though I wasn't the best trader there. Now I'm thinking of joining the current phase - seems like all you need to do is stay active, trading tokens like $AAPLon, $SPYon, $TSLAon, $NVDAon, $MSFTon which is cool for both the platform and traders.

Anyone else into crypto trading comps? How easy are they to join, and got any tips for scoring bigger rewards?

Not at all for 99% of users. There are very big players involved.
 
comps easy to hop in, usually just sign up + start trading, leaderboard based on vol or pnl. tip is churn vol on low fee pairs, farm rewards even if pnl flat. watch rules some count pnl %, some raw turnover. use small stacks recycled fast, safer than gambling big for rank.

Farm rewards? You must trade to earn rewards dont you?
I just know one thing, trading is not that easy.

Is true a lot of people make a lot of money, but a lot of people lost a lot of money just by following someone else strategies.

Especially in a comp, why would anyone be following another's strategy? Except in cases of copy trading. But I agree some earn good reward while others lose as well. Meanwhile, some of these platforms OnChain trading have ways of rewarding all participants who meet certain criteria

It is just advertising campaign for most of these exchanges.
 
I tried one and realized using tokens I actually know versus random ones made a huge difference.
 
Never participated in any such competition because I trade with very less funds.
 
Trading comps can be a good way to sharpen skills while keeping risk capped, since rewards often come from volume not just profit. I’d say check the rules carefully — some focus on consistency rather than size of wins, so steady activity often pays better than chasing big swings.

After the first trading competitions, I tried that helped me achieve a certain routine and skill, which completely changed the way I trade, and since then, I've been actively participating in trading competitions. Like the one you mentioned, I just joined last week, and one thing I do is try to chase small wins of 3 to 4 pairs daily, and you'll be good. That was how I was able to get a reward in $BGB in the last event I tried

The major platforms like Etoro already have the top traders being followed by other people. You have to do your own due diligence because sometimes when you follow someone else, or someone else's strategies, if he/she fails you can loose your entire investment.

I have in the past written about copy trading, its downside and benefits. Maybe you would check it out. The mistake beginners make is trying to use very little capital like $10 and attempt to copy a whale who's in the trade with millions yet expect to see significant profit. That's a mistake. I recommend starting out with trading events on platforms like B|tget to grow your holding from the rewards. Some of these I forming about their trading club championship are available on X (Twitter)
