I was searching on YouTube out of boredom for something to watch to kill some time, and decided to do vague 1 keyword searches. I let YouTube suggest me any random stuff that the algorithm decided to display.

I know exactly what I usually watch so when videos shown up I realized YouTube knows a bit too much about my preferences. Kept on making other search queries, tried to find something out of my circle of interests, but to no avail.

I searched for "Montage" expecting cool videos about people travelling.

The page was flooded with League of Legends montages. Guilty ;d

I searched for "Music" expecting something trendy, playlists or some new songs I never listened to.

The page displayed either "For the XXX's fans" albums, songs that I listened to before or precisely similar songs

I searched for "Life"

Same shit.
Well. Not actually. Jordan Peterson is the real G.

Felt trapped in the same topics. Not concerned of this problem until I finally experienced it.

What's your take on this?

PS: why are images not working?
