Hello BHW,

Im looking for reporting software to save me some time, sending out reports to my clients.
So, what is the software that you currently use for SEO/ marketing reports?
For new peeps what would be a system you would recommend for a new digital marketing/seo/ agency business in 2020?

Thanks!

I haven't used them myself, but I've seen PDF client reports generated from SEMRush that eye very professional. You need a SEMrush account though..

yes ive heard thats a good one. Its $99/month for basic account. Im looking into other softwares that just help you organize google analytics and google search console right now. Im signing up for 7 and 14 day trials right now.

What data do you want to have in your report ?

"SEO report" is quite vague

True. How many people are visiting the site, calls, impressions. Most of my clients are service based local businesses so having local rankings is a priority. I am using local vikings GEO grid map and inserting in the report. I think I found a software to help just putting everything together its tapclicks. Im messing with it now, I hope Im able to connect local vikings to it. That would be sweet.

Off-topic, let me just say this

AAAAAHAHAHHAHHAHAHHA

This made me really laugh.

On-topic: SEMRush reports are really nice and look professional, also recommend it. You can even import your own logo and company name and white-label them.

i have use Tableau and looker, you just need to adjust the presentation, also there are some powerpoint templates

Since you'll be using tools to generate data for your clients, in most cases these tools will allow you to export in csv format, and all data organized for you. just stick to that, clients don't want complex reports. keep simple with Excel CSV format.

Thank you for this I will check both of them out. :)

Yeah specially if they are older. I just received a message from one saying she was confused by the report. It had Graph and charts from SEMRush, some snippits from google analytics and google my business insight. I will be setting up a call to go over it. I will be asking them what are important metrics for them and make it very simple on excel, I think that will be the best approach depending on the clients needs.

That's a good move and you'll save yourself some time. Clients hardly grasp anything from SEO or digital marketing reports in general, they only understand when you start bringing in customers.
