Creating a Website - Big project

Fellow BHW Members,

I am in the process of creating a website.

I request your help as I strongly believe I can make it really big and productive.
Just need your assistance to start - right now I don't possess too much $ thats why I can't hire someone directly.

I am just about to launch a website, but know very less about it. Right now, I can't afford spending much on a website, but here are my questions:

1. How to create a website which provides people an ability to control their document collaboratively? What tools do I need for that?

Think Google docs like stuff. Just on a smaller scale. Basically, I am providing you opportunity to prepare/edit a document, collaboratively. Collaborate with Maximum 50 members.

I have absolutely no idea on how to go about it. Do I need to set up something like Amazon Cloud Sharing?
Kindly suggest what tools I may utilize in a) early and b) mid stage of the business

(Early - means almost no money, Mid - Can spend some bucks)

2. How can I get themes with scrolling like - the leanstartup? (Kindly search google, as I can't post links right now)
Is there any wordpress theme like that?

Right now I can not spend too much.

Then what gave you the brilliant idea that you should build a website?
What would you do if you had appendicitis?

Just like a chainsaw in your garage doesn't make you a lumberjack, a computer in your living room doesn't make you a website developer.
Maybe you could build your own car, you probably have a couple of wrenches laying around and no clue of how to go about it - pretty much the same situation you're looking at with a website.

You made my day..

I got the brilliant idea of creating a website, because this is the medium through which I can market my product.

yes, I do not have money - that's why I can't hire some one right now.

I am decent with wordpress and so on - I just needed to understand the kind of themes some websites use, and how I could them, and how to do a bit of few things.

If I posted - "I want to be a Website builder, but I have no idea how", perhaps your bashing would have been useful.
But I mentioned, I know few things about creating a website, I just need to understand next level things. I could have outsourced them, but for some time, I can't do so.

That's why I pitched about resources/tools to assist.

you better hire somebody to help you or do something you know until you get enough capital

This is the only post which provides me with some insight.
I'll check out for other relevant tools, for creating such websites.

I myself think that it's better to have some capital and then hire someone. In the meanwhile, I'd keep make a small-scale interface myself. I don't need something gorgeous on Day -1, so I hope to get a workaround.
