Hi there,

After years of struggling with starting and finishing simple (routine) tasks, I developed a method to increase my productivity on low-priority tasks with more fun while minimizing downtime between it.

It's called RandomTask.

I have already made a landingpage, ebook and the android app is to be released soon.

What is the best strategy on monetizing this projects? I would like to see some passive money from it in the end.

You can google for "RandomTask Method" if you want to see the landingpage.

All comments are appreciated.

probably best to remove your url, it maybe seen as promotion. You can ask the question without the url

I found your site by using "randomtask method" with the brackets.

I think you need to brand it better and offer a better solution immediately on the front of your page. Because the first lines I read didnt interest me at all. I found it a bit odd you mentioned "fun" but the site looks nothing like fun. Maybe use some crazy goat with a huge grin, and write about HUGE problems people have. And offer the solution. I know many people are struggeling with focus, procrastination, you just need to ID the keywords and then you can adapt your website to it and mention these problems, and your solution. The better you nail the problem of your target group, the more people will be interested.

The app itself is brilliant. I used a similiar technique, I made 3 things I need to do in my work (like "create 10 articles") and 3 other things (like "do nothing"), and numbered them, and then rolled the dice every hour. It came so far that I actually looked forward to getting work-related numbers.

But yeah you should try and market this better. Also I am not sure WHY this needs an ebook? This isnt well explained and dosnt offer any rewards to people for wanting the ebook. Better would be, if you need the ebook to introduce it like "Find out how 38 people from Harvard, Oxford, Walmart, NFL,.... overcame distractions/doubled their productivity" etc. This is what you could also use in an ad like on facebook.

I would just go to some forums and check what peoples biggest issues are with this and then build the landing page around that.

edit: Another issue is actually the name. If you want to make money from it, you should focus on the app right? But nobody is going to search for randomtask method right? Also its supposed to be fun, so maybe CrazyGoat Productivity App would be better as a name/brand, and then some crazy goat rolls the dice always, something that makes people feel good, and laugh.

To better market your product why don't you market a challenge on sites such as FB, Instagram, YouTube and tell people that take it to challenge others. It may sound silly but people will always fall for it because they want to be included.
