ok guys just use this method type in google without the quotes "http://blogs.*.edu/wp-signup.php" and then look for the blogs which are WPMU in bold example below
Code:
http://blog.cortland.edu/wp-signup.php
, copy and paste in browser and you get a free .edu blog everytime.

use Gmail on some and works fine on others it gets refused

just for info i have tried gmail and yahoo and disposable emails they work on some and get refused by others just keep trying and you will find many that work, the links are highly precious.

many dont work..but some still does
thx

I have never used .edu sites before and that is one of the things I wanted to learn about.

I have not received any emails yet either and I am not using any free mail accounts. I wonder if you have to have an email account from a .edu?

i doubt it.. some i think require u to have emails from that specific edu institute.. hence they just dont allow registrations.. maybe.. the ones that allow the initial registrations have the same requirement but they just dont say it.

is worth the try.. lets hpe it works

u can use it to link to whatever u want.. just play it smart..

Thanks for this method, I'm going to give it a shot. I've had fantastic results with .edu backlinks in the past.

alot of these sites you must use a student email address to participate. Awesome share none-the-less... the hard part is finding good ones :)

It does appear that most of these are for .edu domains only. I am finding that if they still allow sign up, you get

Code:
"Sorry, that email address is not in one of the allowed domains!"

inurl:wp-signup.php+site:.edu gives 96 results. Haven't tried any, still tryong to figure out how to configure my wpmu so that user registration actually WORKS
