Country code vs .com

Hello guys,

from your experience, it matter from SEO perspective, if I use my country code (ex .bg Belgium) or if I use .com?

I’m living in a European country (not Belgium) and .countrycode domain is taken. But it’s not used. It’s nothing there if I try to access it. But .com is available.

Should I go for it?

Com domains are goods also for national rankings! I used them many times with good results. Just remember to set the right country in the google search console in case your traffic is mainly from a country (bg in your case)

I don't want to pay hundreds for a domain. And I can’t contact anybody because it’s nothing on the page if I try to access to website. The message is ”i can’t access this website. This webpage can be temporarily unfunctional or it was moved to another web address.

I'm fast because I'm a cat. Felines are the fastest animals on the planet. Lookup the whois information for that domain. There you will find a email address. Even if is protected with whois protection, send an email to it, as it will go straight to the inbox.

Depends on what you do is better to have a ccTLD, instead of .com.

Also check WHOIS database, it is possible that domain is pending release, and soon will be available to buy.
But TBH. .com domain is so universal that I would go with that one
 
Try to search the domain on sedo.com, united-domains.com or godaddy.com. Sometimes the domain is listed there for sale although you cannot access it directly.

SEO wise it doesnt matter if is .com or country level, however from user perspective the country level are seen (usually) as more trustworthy. The problem is if you decide to go international .. well you will need the .com. My advice - get the country level domain, but also register the .com, just in case.
 
.com are the best especially if the language is used in other countries. Like for Spanish, French, Portuguese. But you may want the .com and .countrycode to avoid copy cats
 
if it's empty page and you can't buy it, then it's reserved. Reserved domains are expensive.
