Hi everyone, I just realized that YouTube already put into effect COPPA rules and they are asking when you upload a video if the content is made for kids.
COPPA rules already applied!!!!

According to the FTC’s guidance on COPPA, a video is child directed (which we call “made for kids”) if:
Children are the primary audience based on the factors described below.
Children are not the primary audience, but the video is still directed to children based on the factors below.
When deciding whether or not your channel or video is made for kids, you should consider various factors, including:
Subject matter of the video (e.g. educational content for preschoolers).
Whether children are your intended or actual audience for the video.
Whether the video includes child actors or models.
Whether the video includes characters, celebrities, or toys that appeal to children, including animated characters or cartoon figures.
Whether the language of the video is intended for children to understand.
Whether the video includes activities that appeal to children, such as play-acting, simple songs or games, or early education.
Whether the video includes songs, stories, or poems for children.
Any other information you may have to help determine your video’s audience, like empirical evidence of the video’s audience.

"As the creator, you know your content best. If you intended to reach a kid audience, it’s likely that your video is made for kids. If you’re not sure about your audience, take a look at the features of your video - does it have actors, characters, activities, games, songs, or stories that kids are particularly attracted to? If so, your video may be directed to kids."
Well, game hacks are videos about games and games are kid's content, so game hacks videos are made for kids.
well a lot of youtubers gonna look into affiliate commisions so they can make $$$ with their audience another way besides yt monetization.

What about the videos that are already uploaded on YouTube? Are they going to review all channels again?

Three options.. It's not only "yes or no" you can choose to review the setting on every new upload..

yes, you have to select all fucking videos, this is a nightmare
this is useless for 99% of channels unless you are a big personality
my channel didn't get auto flagged for now... however im worried that the FTC can $42,000 fine per video if you try to cheat... fuck this shit im so scared. im not even from the US tho, but I just dont know what to do.
they just want to kill all independent creators and replace them with corporations, no one cares about kids here
wait so all old my videos that ive uploaded on like multiple channels I have to make a choice as well? wtf?
i thought it was just new videos once the policy takes effect on december 10

The rules are so confusing. Unless you are not directly in the kids niche, you don't really know if your channel is at risk or not. One of my channels has this problem at the moment. I seriously don't know if this stupid law applies to me or not. The Videos are playing with toys that are used by +13 yo's but can be used by anyone, including children, adults, etc. - So does it apply now or not? Also, 90% of my audience is over the Kids Age, does that mean i am safe? This is just ridiculous
