Converting Spam Comments Into Authentic Ones

This is something I thought about doing for my website which runs on WordPress. Two of my articles have 1000+ unapproved (99.9% spam) comments. It looks like all of them botted and spammed an entire list of websites or maybe I'm being attacked

Anyway, I turned a few spam comments into ones that sound authentic; removed the email, and URL posted by the spammers, and even changed names.

Should I stop doing this or is it okay? I noticed that I can also see their IP address

Yeah its cool. The problem is that those comments are usually generic and not really related to your article so you cannot really use all of them - but if you have the time to filter those that looks decent - go for it.

Maybe, will have to give them higher privileges.

How many comments do you ideally approve per post for each of the following - bottom, middle, and top funnels?

Some spam comments are unusable. We only tweak the ones that won't require too much time on editing.
