Hello Friends,
I wanted to convert my PHP based website to Wordpress. Would it affect my Google rankings and hurt my traffic?
it all depends to what wordpress theme you will be migrating to. if you are going to heavy theme, like themeforest themes, then you will lose ranking. if you are going to a light/fast theme, you will not lose ranking and it should help you in maintenance overtime.Hello Friends,

I am planning to redesign the whole website. I wanted to make my website more alive, interesting, and engage my users since looks matter. I wanted my website to look exactly like this one: https://www.onebladeshave.com/ The reason I wanted to get my website onto wordpress is because wordpress has a lot of plugins.Although wordpress uses same language "PHP" but wordpress is designed to make things simpler as possible.
if your website in php you must be having different type of URL structures. Also with media files wordpress tend to create media url with year/month/filename
create site audit first before migration and 2nd After your complete migration. See the results if you don't see much difference then everything should be fine.
For now get all the metrix and then compare them after migrating. if your site is not much big then you don't have to worry much.
