Hello Everybody, I want to know what is the difference between Contextual Backlinks which placed within the content itself and sidebar widgets, footer and other backlinks. In terms of the value passed to the main site.

Contextual links are surrounded by relevant text which helps Google know what your website is about and ranking you accordingly. Backlinks from blog comments for example are not contextually, but they can be from a website that is relevant to yours.

And what about Backlinks placed within sidebar widgets with the exact keyword?

They can also be used but if your pointing it to your money site it should be from a site related to your niche. Still pass power though

The idea of this kind of backlinks to take full advantage of the PA of the referring domains

you create a new post and make an internal or external backlink with an anchor text called contextual backlink.

Contextual links are links deep from the content of your webpage and that content is the core part which decides the uniqueness of a webpage. Hence, giving links from that section transfer optimal page power to linked ones.

It increases the relevancy of the pages which are linked and also the page from which it has the link. It is the best practice of the internal link building. Adding long tail keywords, adding the links to the relevant pages, using keywords as the anchor text are some of the best practices included in the contextual linking.

Contextual backlinks means the link which is included in the content. Suppose you have an awesome blog. In your blog, you create a new post and make an internal or external backlink with an anchor text called **contextual backlink**.

Contextuals are seen as backlinks with higher value cause they are about your topic, offer relevant information that is more than just a plain link, and therefore offer more value to users which google is after. Widget links are often site-wide that could cause trouble if there are lots of low quality pages. Footer links don't hold much value at all, cause they are seen as "sponsored", "powered by" etc links.

If the contextual links pointing to your website are related to your website, the links have higher value for SEO and Traffic. All others can be used as spam so Google gives them less value for SEO. For contextual links, the content should be related to your website, too.
