Hey everyone,

I’ve been hearing mixed opinions on whether content velocity (publishing a high volume of content in a short time) still impacts rankings in 2025.

Some say it helps signal site freshness and authority, others claim it doesn’t matter anymore unless the content is top-tier.

So I’m curious:
  • Have any of you tested publishing 20–50 posts quickly on a new domain?
  • Did it help with faster indexing or ranking?
  • Or did Google just ignore the bulk until it gained backlinks or user signals?
Would love to hear if content velocity still works as a strategy—or if it’s better to go slow and steady with optimized posts.

Appreciate any insights!

Just use basic common sense. Phrases like "content velocity" remind me of corporate words/ phrases like "synergy", "strategic growth", "core competency" and what not lol.

If you're not going to be publishing AI contents, why can't you schedule the articles to publish slowly.

Posting 50 articles once and not able to maintain the frequency doesn't make sense to me, and can't make sense to Google either.

Finally, I don't think that works anymore, Google is likely to ghost your site for the time being irrespective of your SEO efforts.

I feel like it's the contrary rn, it just make google check your website more carefully as you're eating your crawl budget. And apply a manual penalty for whatever reason just to not index the content.

Be careful

In 2025, content velocity remains a valuable SEO strategy if executed properly. It can improve site authority, user engagement, and crawlability, but its effectiveness depends on delivering high-quality, relevant content that aligns with user intent and industry competition. Rather than chasing quantity, focus on a sustainable cadence, strategic updates, and a holistic SEO approach to maximize rankings.

I’ve tested this on fresh domains dumping 30+ articles at once gets them indexed faster, but rankings dont stick unless you build legit links and engagement. Content velocity is still good for crawling, but not a magic bullet for ranking.
